Na-Mo the True Winner Anywhere and Everywhere

Modi forced Washington to plead — not once, not twice, but thrice

But it is the US embassy here that was eventually made to sweat for the meeting by Modi after a series of tense attempts at ice-breaking that failed, Indian and American officials aware of the details of the outreach have confirmed to The Telegraph.

Modi eventually agreed only to a meet strictly on his terms, the officials said. The location had to be Gandhinagar; the choice of subjects had to be in tune with his national role; and the US had to discomfit his rivals, the Congress-led central government, by obtaining its approval for the meeting even though Modi and Powell could have circumvented the foreign ministry nod.

The US, left alone in its boycott of Modi for the 2002 Gujarat riots after the European Union and Britain made up with him, accepted the conditions.

“He got what he wanted, and he got it exactly the way he wanted,” an official said. “In the end, they (the US) were chasing him.”

UPA’s final act of misery: Modi

Modi, however, welcomed the announcement of One Rank One Pension for defence forces, made by Chidambaram in his vote-on-account presented in the Lok Sabha, tweeting "Belated wisdom finally dawns on our 'hard working' UPA ministers".

"UPA's last vote-on-account is extremely disappointing! It is nothing but a glorified exercise in self-congratulation," the Gujarat chief minister said in a series of tweets.

"The only solace one gets from the vote-on-account is that this was UPA's final act of misery after a decade of decay & policy paralysis," Modi said.

"It is upto the people to decide whether the economist PM & FM have been 'hard working' or 'hardly working' in their tenure," he further said taking a dig at Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Chidambaram.

Targetting Chidambaram, Modi said "'Hard working' Finance Minister also joins other illustrious UPA ministers who are seeking refuge in history to judge their 'performance'."

"FM eats up plan exp (expenditure), rolls over Rs 35,000 cr subsidies to next yr to contain fiscal deficit even as non-plan exp (expenditure) overshoots! Real hard work!," he said.
On One Rank One Pension' for armed forces, Modi tweeted "I welcome the decision on 'One Rank One Pension' for our servicemen. Belated wisdom finally dawns on our 'hard working' UPA ministers".

Modi also tried to negate Chidambaram's claim in the vote-on-account speech that there was no policy paralysis.

"FM says 296 projects worth Rs 6.6 lakh crore cleared recently. Why were these projects held back at all? Is it not policy paralysis?," Modi tweeted.

Modi also slammed the finance minister over his remarks on black money.

"Mere lip-service by the FM on the return of black money; UPA's lack of commitment towards bringing black money was on display yet again!," he said.

The Gujarat chief minister also ticked off the government on the state of employment and manufacturing sector scenario.

"While the FM may pat his own back, fact remains that our youth is bearing the brunt of rising unemployment," Modi said giving a link of a newspaper report.

"Manufacturing is the Achilles' heel, deceleration in investment in manufacturing worrying...this is result of 'wonders' of UPA's policies," Modi said.

Poll shows Modi-led govt only option; 3rd, 4th Fronts are nonsense

If the latest Times Now-CVoter opinion poll is any indication, there is little doubt that Narendra Modi will be the next NDA-led coalition’s Prime Minister. The poll shows a huge rise in the NDA’s vote share, which results in an even bigger gain in terms of seat count. While vote share is up from 26 percent in 2009 to 36 percent for the NDA (with UPA’s down from 36 percent to 22 percent), the NDA seat share will rise to a range of 217-237 (for UPA: 91-111)– which means only around 50-60 seats will be required for the NDA to form a government. Little wonder Uncle Sam wants to kiss and make up with Modi.

Selective Secularism & Minority Appeasement Politics by Ruling AIADMK Government in TN

Quota for Muslim Professors in HR & CE Governed College – Unconstitutional move by TN Govt.

Electioneering is an important component of a healthy democracy. World over, political parties and politicians conduct their election campaigns by showcasing their past achievements and vision documents for the future. They will focus on the entire electorate. Whereas in India, most of the political parties and politicians focus on bogus secularism with the only intention of winning over minorities wooing them with promises and schemes which mostly end up as detrimental to the majority community.

Such an outrageous act, al a Aurangazeb, has been committed by the Tamil Nadu Government. The Tamil Nadu Government has allocated exclusive quota for Muslims for the post of Assistant Professors in Arulmigu Palaniandavar College of Arts and Culture.

http://apacollegeofartsandculture.ac.in/PDF/advasstprofessor30012014.pdf )

Reservations in Education and Employment on the basis of Religion are Unconstitutional. The Constituent Assembly, after lengthy discussions and deliberations had arrived at a consensus that reservation on the basis of religion would be detrimental to the secular fabric of the nation and hence decided against it while framing the Constitution of India.

Recently while the Andhra Pradesh Government brought in an ordinance for Reservation for Muslims and Christians, the Andhra Pradesh High Court ruled against it and subsequently the Supreme Court also dismissed the appeal made by the Andhra Government.

While the Courts have ruled against religious quotas even in Government employments which are secular in nature, one could imagine what would be their ruling in this case involving an educational institution run by Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowment. So, this outrageous act by the TN Government smacks of audacity and scant regard for the Constitution of India.

During the last year alone the Government had taken Rs.9 crores in the name of Management and Maintenance charges and Rs.5 crores in the name of Public Welfare Fund from the Palani Andavar Temple. Here it would be pertinent to note that the revenue from “Hindu” Temples must not be utilized for “Pulbic” causes. When the Temple gets crores of rupees as revenue from the Hindu Bhaktas, what is the need for Government aid to run a college owned by the Temple? Had it been owned by a Private Hindu Organisation, would the Government enforce such a rule against the Constitution? On the one hand the Government sanctions a paltry sum as ‘aid’ and on the other hand it swallows crores of rupees for civil and public causes in the name of management charges and welfare fund.

Modi's Kerala visit - A letter to Amrita TV
10/02/2014 00:10:19  Dr G Vijayalakshmi

Today, 9th Feb 2014, the immensely popular Shri Narendra Modi, the BJP Prime Ministerial candidate visited Kerala. He addressed two public meetings, one in Kochi and the other in Thiruvananthapuram. Amrita TV viewers were hoping that there would be live coverage of the events, or at least some parts of the speeches would be telecast. But unfortunately, there was a total black-out of the grand events, which were attended by lakhs of people. This seems to be the mischief of the commie elements who infiltrated Amrita TV right from the time it was started. Communist party meetings get highlighted. But the massive meetings of the BJP have deliberately been ignored. Thus Amrita TV viewers have been badly let down by the biased News Desk of Amrita TV. I, on behalf of my family and friends, strongly condemn this bias shown by Amrita News, and appeal to the concerned authorities to keep the channel free from political bias.
