Is it true that you continue to claim the legal status of Parivartan as follow: “Parivartan is not registered under any Act as a society or a trust or a Company. It is a people’s movement. For Income Tax purposes, it is an Association of Persons.”

கலங்கிய வீரத்துறவி! 

“வீரன் ஒருநாள் தான் சாகிறான், கோழை தினமும் சாகிறான்…’ என்று வீரமொழி பேசிய விவேகானந்தரே ஒருசமயம் கண் கலங்கியிருக்கிறார் என்றால் ஆச்சரியமாகத் தானே இருக்கிறது. எதற்காக அவரது கண்களில் நீர் முட்டியது?

ஜன., 12,1863ல் மக்கள், மகரசாந்தி பண்டிகையைக் கொண் டாடிய நன்னாளில் இந்தியாவின் நம்பிக்கை நட்சத்திரமாக உதித் தார் சுவாமி விவேகானந்தர். உலகில் எவ்வளவு நாள் வாழ்கிறோம் என்பதை விட, என்ன சாதிக் கிறோம் என்பதே மிக முக்கியம். விவேகானந்தர் 39 ஆண்டுகள் தான் இந்த பூமியில் வாழ்ந்தார். ஜூலை 4, 1902ல் இயற்கை அவரை தன்னோடு அணைத்துக் கொண்டது; ஆனால், இந்த குறுகிய காலத்தில் அவர் செய்த சாதனைகள் கொஞ்ச நஞ்சமல்ல.

இந்த தேசம் வறுமையிலும், அடிமைத்தனத்திலும் மூழ்கிக் கிடக்க காரணம் என்ன என்பது பற்றி அவர் ஆராய்ந்தார். அதற்கு விடை, அவருக்கு கன்னியாகுமரியில் கிடைத்தது. 1892ல் குமரிமுனைக்கு வந்து, பகவதி அம்மனை தரிசித்தார்.

“அம்மா, மகாசக்தி! நீ இமயத் தில் பார்வதியாய் இருக்கிறாய்; இங்கே பகவதியாய் வீற்றிருக் கிறாய். கன்னியாக இருந்தாலும் நீ உலகத்தின் தாயல்லவா! இங்கு அந்நியர்களின் அரசாட்சி நடக்கிறது. மக்கள் தங்கள் நிலையை மறந்து, அந்நியர் களின் கலாசாரத்தைப் பின்பற்றுகின்றனரே! இது அவர்களைப் பாழ்படுத்திக் கொண்டிருக் கிறதே! இதற்கு தீர்வு என்ன?’ என்று முறையிட்டார்.

தன் கேள்விக்கு விடை வேண்டு மானால் தனிமை வேண்டுமெனக் கருதி கடலில் குதித்து, நீச்சலடித்து ஒரு பாறையை அடைந்தார். அங்கே தியானத்தில் ஆழ்ந் தார். அவரது உள்ளுணர்வில் பல எண்ணங்கள் ஓடின; அவை, காட்சிகளாக மலர்ந்தன. பாரதம் அவரது கண்களின் முன் பரந்து விரிந்தது. இங்கே மொழிகளும், மக்களின் பழக்க வழக்கங்களும் மாறுபட்டிருந் தாலும், இவர்களையெல்லாம் இணைக்கும் பாலமாக வேதங் களும், ஆகமங்களும், புராணங் களும், சித்தாத்தங்களும் இருப்பது தெரிந்தது.

ஒவ்வொரு இந்தியனும், ஏதோ வாழ்ந்தோம், மடிந்தோம் என்பதற்காக பிறக்கவில்லை; இந்த ஆன்மிக அமுதத்தை ருசிக்கவே அவன் பிறந்திருக் கிறான். இந்த மக்களை ஆன்மிகத்தின் மூலமாக மட்டுமே இணைக்க முடியும். ஆன்மிகமே இந்தியாவை இணைக்கும் பாலம் என்பது புலப்பட்டது.

அதேநேரம், வறுமையில் சிக்கித் தவிக்கும் இந்தியனிடம் ஆன்மிகத்தைப் பற்றி போதித் தால் எடுபடாதே! அவனது பசியைப் போக்கிவிட்டு, ஆன்மிகத் தைப் போதித்தால், அவனிடம் ஒழுக்கக்கேட்டை உருவாக்கும் அந்நிய கலாசார பழக்கங்களை போக்குவது குறித்த விழிப் புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தலாம். ஆனால், அவனது பசியைப் போக்கவும், விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தவும் பெரும் பணம் வேண்டுமே! அப்போது தான் அவரது கண்கள் கலங்கின.

அந்த கலங்கிய கண்கள் கடலை நோக்கிச் சென்றன. அந்தப் பார்வை அமெரிக்காவைக் காட் டியது. சனாதன தர்மம் எனப் படும் இந்துமத கொள்கைகள் அந்த தேசத்தில் ஒலிக்குமானால், அது உலகையே எட்டும். அங்கே நடக்கப்போகும் சர்வமத மகாசபை கூட்டத்தில் நமது கருத்துக் களை ஏற்கும் வகையில் பேச வேண்டும். அதற்காக தரப்படும் பொருளைக் கொண்டு நமது தேசத்தில் மடங்களை நிறுவ வேண்டும். அதற்கு நம் குருநாதர் ராமகிருஷ்ணரின் பெயரை வைக்க வேண்டும் என்று முடிவெடுத்தார்.

குமரியில் பிறந்த இந்த சிந் தனை பெரும் சிரமத்தின் பேரில் வெற்றியும் பெற்றது; நமது தேசத்தின் மாண்பு காப்பாற்றப் பட்டது. இன்று ராமகிருஷ்ண மடங்கள் பாரதமெங்கும் விரிந்து கிடக்கின்றன.

இந்த அரிய சாதனையைப் படைத்த விவேகானந்தருக்கு அவரது 107வது நினைவுநாளில் வீர அஞ்சலி செலுத்துவோம்.

An open letter to Mr. Honest:

Dear Mr Kejriwal

I understand that you have sent an open letter to Narendra Modi on questions that are bothering you. I like your inquisitiveness and eagerness to know such details, but it should be obvious to everyone that the basic purpose of sending “open” letters is usually self-publicity. As a politician you are entitled to self-promote, and I certainly don’t grudge you that.

You have asked three basic questions of Mr Modi: whether he will go ahead with the UPA government’s decision to raise gas prices to $8 per mmBtu; what his relationship with Mukesh Ambani is; and how much his election campaign is costing.

I obviously cannot answer questions two or three. If you have any information that the relationship between Mr Ambani and Mr Modi is not proper, or that excessive amounts are being spent in the Modi election campaign, all you have to do is go to the police or complain to the Election Commission. Since you have already filed an FIR accusing everybody and the dog-at-the-lamp-post of colluding to raise gas prices, you should get an answer to this question from the courts. A PIL on gas pricing is already filed in the Supreme Court. That obviously has not stopped you from milking this issue for what it is worth with open letters.

Disappointing that Modi has not apologised for riots: FM  

New Delhi:  Finance Minister P Chidambaram does not think that Narendra Modi has been given clean chit by courts in 2002 Gujarat riots and says the BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate has steadfastly refused to acknowledge his “moral and political accountability” for them.

He says it was disappointing that Modi was unwilling to “apologise” for the riots. The undercurrent of his cross-country campaign is majoritarianism and Congress will give a befitting reply to it, says Chidambaram.

“No, I don’t think so. There are two aspects to what happened in 2002. One is legal culpability. The other is moral and political accountability. On the first, the matter is still in court. A court has accepted an SIT report but that has been challenged in a higher court. But I won’t say anything more on that.

“But on the second, I am absolutely clear in my mind that the political and moral accountability rests with the Chief Minister. He was Chief Minister for several months when it happened. Yet in the last 12 years, he has refused to acknowledge his moral and political accountability. And what is more disappointing is his unwillingness to even utter the words—I apologise,” he told PTI in an interview here.


Chidambaram was asked whether he believed Modi has been finally cleared of all charges by courts in the 2002 riots.

Ahmedabad: BJP’s prime ministerial nominee Narendra Modi yesterday made an emotional pitch to voters, saying if he doesn’t get a chance to serve the people in this life he will do so after a rebirth.

Addressing a huge youth rally in the city, the Gujarat chief minister said, “If I speak the truth, all the ministers of the Delhi government get unhappy, they feel bad and get dejected.”

“There is a reason for it. Nobody has challenged them for the last 60 years. They are feeling how can a tea-seller challenge such a big sultanate which has ruled the country uninterrupted for many years,” he said.

“They are flabbergasted and remain in search of opportunities to hit Modi... My Congress strongmen, what more can you do, you can throw muck, you can let CBI try to nail me, you can take me to courts...,” Modi said.  “But I am here to serve this nation births after births, If I don’t get chance in this birth, I will come again in the next birth to serve the people of the country.” “I have not left my house for any post or fame. To acquire, to be something is not my goal...,” he said.
