Urges PM to ‘show the will and courage’ to sack Raja

The name of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi has surfaced for the first time in the multi-crore 2G spectrum allotment scandal, with AIADMK chief J Jayalalithaa asking Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to allow a free hand to the CBI for probing the “link” between the ETA Group (share-holders in Swan Telecom) and the DMK patriarch. The AIADMK chief also demanded immediate sacking of Union Telecom Minister A Raja for an independent probe into the scandal.

In a statement here on Thursday, Jayalalithaa made a scathing attack on Karunanidhi and said the CBI should probe acquisition of stakes worth Rs 380 crore by the Chennai-based Genex Exim in Swan Telecom, one of the major beneficiaries in the 2G spectrum allotment.

Pointing out Karunanidhi’s four-decade-long “association” with Genex Exim’s holding company, ETA Group, she said the truth would come out only when the Prime Minister “shows the will and courage to throw out Raja”.

“The CBI has to find out the links between the ETA Group and Genex Exim Ventures Pvt Ltd, a company that was launched in the end of 2008 with a share capital of Rs 1 lakh, but went on to acquire stakes in Swan Telecom to the extent of Rs 380 crore. It has to find out the links between the ETA Group and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, the fountainhead of all corruption,” Jayalalithaa said.

“Only if this type of comprehensive investigation is done, will the whole truth come out about the financial connections between Karunanidhi and the ETA directors, who are executing all major construction projects in Tamil Nadu, including the new Secretariat complex, the new State library and several flyovers and bridges of the State Highways Department,” the AIADMK chief said.

She went on to add that such an investigation would also reveal that the Star Health Insurance of ETA Group — which bagged the controversial multi-crore health insurance contract of the Tamil Nadu Government — also registered Star Airlines, which is now controlled by members of the Karunanidhi family.

“Such an investigation will also reveal that the connection between Karunanidhi and the ETA Group is nothing new; it dates back to the days when the same people operated in the State in the late 1960s and early 1970s under the name East Coast Constructions, which is today a part of the ETA Group, and had been entrusted with the contract for constructing the Anna flyover on Mount Road and several bridges constructed way back in 1972-73, when Karunanidhi was the Chief Minister,” Jayalalithaa said.

She claimed that the probe would lead to the fact that these contracts were awarded to the company as quid pro quo for having distributed Karunanidhi’s flop film Pillayo Pillai, through which he tried to launch his son Mu Ka Muthu as a rival to Puratchi Thalaivar MGR.

“It will come out that some of these deals had notable mention in the Sarkaria Commission Report, which authentically chronicled Karunanidhi’s penchant for scientific corruption,” added the AIADMK chief.

She asked the Prime Minister to comment on Raja’s claim that he got all necessary approvals from the former. “Does Dr Manmohan Singh accept this (claim)? Is that why he feels that Raja need not resign? But all truth will come out only if Prime Minister Manmohan Singh shows the will and the courage to throw out Raja. The million-dollar question is, is he up to it?” she asked.

Corruption and karunanidhi are one

Karunanidhi: A hero of corruptions

The Tamil Nadu population are still living in poverty, mostly while Tamil Nadu becomes the State of opportunists who hail from other parts of India and are taking control of the major leading industries, most commonly the pawn brokers who are non-inhabitants of Tamil Nadu and own and operate the pawn brokerage stores, which are a leading money making industry. And hundreds of thousands of Tamil Nadu inhabitants work in the industries owned by people who come to Tamil Nadu in search of greener pasture. But, these poor employees make less than a dollar per day, the minimal living expense of a large family. Many other economic and political oppressions are taking place in Tamil Nadu, but the people who hailed from other States in India have entered Tamil Nadu and dominated the economic and political powerhouses, taking few actions to empower the locals of Tamil Nadu, enabling legislations for the betterment of outsiders while almost nothing is done to the locals. This oppression of locals negates any progress for Tamils since British rule. Karunanidhi, too, is from such a clan, and he does not take actions for the welfare of locals who made him a greater political and economic successor. And in return, he is contributing enormously to the destruction of the Tamil society for which he remains thankful, but in reality, does not observe.

Karunanidhi did not rise to this merit through economics and politics, but rather through his corruption and other forms of malpractices. He was indicted by the Sarkaria commission for corruption in allotting tenders for the Veeranam project. Former Indian Prime Minister, the late Indira Gandhi, dismissed the Karunanidhi government, based on charges of possible secession and corruption. Earlier, Karunanidhi, the former chief secretary, K.A. Nambiar, and a host of others, were arrested in the wee hours on charges of corruption in the construction of flyovers in Chennai. He and his party members where charged under Sections 120(b) (criminal conspiracy), 167 (public servant framing an incorrect document with intent to cause injury), 420 (cheating), and 409 (criminal breach of trust) of the Indian Penal Code, and Section 13 (2), 13 (1) (d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act. But, he is a cunning politician who comes out clean after proving that he is innocent. It is no doubt that he is a great administrator and he is one of the living political legendaries. He is a highly respected man in India. But, his words and actions have double meaning. In reality, he and his supporters claim that Karunanidhi is a leader of world Tamils. But their such claims have no ground because he is actually the primary cause for the deaths of nearly 30,000 Tamils in Eelam, and to the destiny of nearly 300,000 Tamils, in the barbed-wire camps, in Vavuniya.

Karunanidhi's real motives have been exposed, but it is unlikely that the poor peasants in Tamil Nadu will realize this soon. And definitely, he will be kept to the heir as the leader, even after he is dead, in Tamil Nadu, because he is leaving behind his family members to remain in power, and they will keep the pride of Karunanidhi. But in reality, since he came to politics at 14 years of age, he did everything to secure the DMK leadership from ways of manipulating others, and he got the good certificate from founder and leader of the DMK, Annadurai, who, rather than brining his family members to politics, passed the party into the hands of Karunanidhi, with the belief that Karunanidhi would work hard to the empowerment of the Tamil Nadu people. But Karunanidhi, after capturing the DMK, did nothing to the empowerment other than empowering himself, his children, and relatives into politics, and made a fortune in entrepreneurships, which could never come to an end for at least the next century. What is pathetic is that Tamils cannot come out of this powerful established network, a network of nepotism, that will always join hands with the powerful elites, just for the sake of their own fortunes, uncaring and unmindful of the people they lead. Hence, Indian Tamils, Eelam Tamils, and the millions of Tamils who live across the world, should realize the real motives of Karunanidhi and his associates.

Karunanidhi has forgotten…

Karunanidhi has forgotten…

In 1967, late Annadurai very solemnly promised, nay swore with theatrical flourish in the name of his 'conscience' (he professed to be too strong an atheist to swear in the name of God) that, if elected to power, his Government would supply rice at the rate three measures (please note `measures' and not `kilo' and one measure was then equal to 1.75 kilos) per rupee. He became Chief Minister of Tamilnadu in April 1967 alright. But the rice never appeared as he had promised.

Since 1967 and till today, in Tamilnadu, rice has never been sold for less than five rupees a Kilo in the open market and less than three rupees a kilo through Public Distribution System.

Karunanidhi has been Chief Minister of Tamilnadu for four times and never once did he try to bring down the price of rice. Why, he did not even attempt to ensure that good quality rice was supplied to the ration card holders. When poor quality of rice was brought to his notice in Sept. 1999, he remarked that worms and rice were inseparable like thumbnail and flesh and no harm would befall if the worms were discarded.

Last year the UPA Government at the centre not only reduced the quantum of rice allotted to States but also withdrew the financial assistance given to States to fill the gap between the market price (Rs. 13/- per Kilo ) and the price of rice sold in Ration shops (Rs. 3.50 per kilo). Neither Karunanidhi nor any of his alliance partners who have their men in Union Cabinet protested.

Jayalalitha boldly faced the crisis and ensured that the poor did not have to suffer from the unhelpful attitude of the Central Government but continued with supplying rice at the rate of Rs. 3.50 per kilo. Karunanidhi simply watched the situation. Now he says that he will supply rice at the rate of two rupees per kilo.

When the central Government is trying to withdraw all types of subsidies, from where Shri Karunanidhi will get funds to supply rice at the rate of two rupees a kilo and if the central government is willing to help him out what will it do in respect of other states that may demand similar assistance. Mulayam Singh Yadav Nitish Kumar, Y Rajsekhara Reddy, Vilas Rao Deshmukh and Amrinder Singh will not keep quiet if Chidambaram decides to favour Tamil Nadu with rice at two rupees a kilo when no government is able to sell wheat at Rs. 2/- per Kg. Waiver of loans taken by the farmers and supply of colour TVs will follow the wheat.

On Saturday 15 April 2006, Chidambaram, the financial wizard and the Finance Minister endorsed the assurance of Karnanidhi on supply of rice at the rate of two rupees a kilo with a `mischievous smile'. God alone knows the type of taxes behind that smile which he will impose to increase the burden of the common man. He belongs to the hybrid variety of American and Karunandhi types of financial managements, two mutually incompatible. Like the Americans, Shri Chidambaram would like freebies reduced and earning by individuals increased.

Simultaneously, on the other hand, he would like to help his friend Karunanidhi in the latter's promise to supply rice at the rate of two rupees a kilo. People would like to see Chidambaram to produce hot ice cream when his Priime Minister himself is against subsidies and freebies. Chidambaram added attraction to his endorsement by according his approval to the assurance of Karunanidhi to supply colour TVs to the voters.

Observation of Chidambaram in support of Karunanidhi becomes more interesting in the background of Union finance ministry attempting to withdraw exemption to manufacturing tax and to re-impose excise tax leading to hike in prices of over 25 commodities of the common man like pencil, soap, lantern, pressure cooker and toothpowder. Chidambaram is sure to get ensnared in is own net. It will be interesting to see Sonia Gandhi campaigning for free color TVs and for rice at two rupees a kilo.

We should remember at this juncture, the justification given by Chidambaram when he introduced Service tax and fringe benefit tax, drawing comparison with `advanced countries'. My esteem for Chidambaram would have gone up if he had stated that he would not impose any new tax nor would he enhance any of the existing taxes to supply free colour Tvs and to supply rice at the rate of Two rupees a kilo. His wizardry in Public Finance is at stake. Let us see what Chidambaram will do if Congress in West Bengal and Kerala also choose to lure the voters through free colour TVs. Chidambaram should seriously consider

Next comes the Colour TV issue. This promise of Karunanidhi is solely intended to promote his family business and nothing else. It is twenty days since he first announced this promise and everyone in Tamilnadu has understood the sinister motive of Karunanidhi whenever he mentions free supply of colour TVs. TV network barons like Zee TV, StarTV and eTV and Multi System Operators like Siti Cable, Hatheway and Home TV should erect a monument for Karunanidhi for his efforts to boost up their business. They can more than hope for similar demands or poll related assurances from other states. Karunanidhi would do very well if he registers his poll promise under Copy Rights and Patents Act and demand royalty.

Next comes waiving of loans taken by farmers from Cooperative banks. Karunanidhi has promised that he would write off all loans taken by formers from cooperative banks. What Karunanidhi has not realized so far in his political career is that the farmers do not want such `pittances' or `freebies'. Like Karunanidhi, they also have self respect. What they want is, reliable water management, regular supply of seeds and fertilizers and remunerative prices for their produce. If these are assured then they do not want even free electricity because the cost of electricity is nothing when compared to the just profit the farmers will make if the other items are assured.

As any intelligent farmer can see, the catch is `reliable water management'. This is where Karunanidhi has been cheating, repeatedly, the farmers of Tamilnadu. Palar and Mullaiperiyaru issues are recent. Janus face of Congress and the Communists got exposed in their support to Kerala Government on Mullaiperiyaru Dam and on Palar Dam.

Let us see what Karunanidhi has done with regard to Cauvery Issue. The original agreement on sharing Cauvery waters by Tamilnadu and Karnataka [ Images ] lapsed in 1974 when Karunanidhi was Chief Minister of Tamilnadu. Earlier in March 1971, he, in alliance with Congress under Indira Gandhi had contested and won. The relationship between Gandhi and Karunanidhi was at its best throughout 1971, 1972 and 1973. Karunanidhi did nothing to ensure due release of Cauvery waters for Tamil Nadu by Karnataka.

It should be remembered that in 1972 Karunanidhi obliged Indira Gandhi by not raising the issue of sharing of Cauvery Waters by Tamil Nadu and Karnataka when Congress(I) under late Devaraj Urs was fighting against the Congress (Nijalingappa) in Karnataka. Since then, Karunanidhi has failed several times to safeguard the interests of Cauvery Delta farmers. Whenever late M G Ramachandran or Jayalalitha tried to settle the dispute through amicable means, Karunanaidhi would, stung by his valorous Tamil sentiment, would condemn the act of `cowardice' and would advocate a `war' for Tamilian rights.

On the other hand, if Jayalalitha chooses to establish the rights of Tamilnadu over Cauvery waters through legal battles, Karunanidhi talks of settling the issue through `friendly' talks. Here we should remember how Udhayaâ TV, an affiliate of SUN TV in Karnataka was pleased to highlight the attack on Tamils by Kannadigas whenever Cauvery water was demanded by Tamilnadu. Love for and Tamil and Tamils is secondary to Karunandidhi. Family business is more important than Cauvery. He would however advocate that his party men should sacrifice everything for `principle'.

Jayalalitha deserves to be reelected only on one issue that is her water management. But for her rain harvesting projects and II Veeranam project Tamilandu especially, Chennai city, would be reeling under severe water scarcity in the months of April and May. Thanks to her farsightedness, people of Chennai need not run from pillar to post for getting drinking water. Here again, Karunanaidhi never bothered to solve drinking water crisis in Chennai city becaue his family members were running more than four hundred water tankers.

Supply of gas stove to voters is another gimmick of Karunanidhi. Since May 2004 till today, UPA Government at the centre has hiked the price of gas cylinder four times. Karunanidhi has done nothing. When he is unable to stall the price hike, will he be able to ensure constant supply of gas and if so at what price. Jayalalitha has ensured, against all odds, that the price of kerosene remained within the reach of poor people. If Karunanidhi can ensure less price for kerosene then he can claim himself to be better than Jayalalitha.

On Thursday 14 April 2006, Karunanidhi was on his election campaign trail in Ulundurpet. He was fondly accosted by Jayakumar, a peddler of groundnuts and son of late Manicka Kandiyar. Manicka Kandiyar and Karunanidhi were intimate friends in 50s and 60s and Kandiyar helped Karunanidhi when he was struggling to get his feet in Tamilnadu politics. Kandiyar was a wood cutter. His son Jayakumar is a peddler of groundnuts in 2006. Whereas progenies of Karunanidhi are millionaires controlling Rs. 8000 crores worth of business in the form of Sun TV, Sun News, Sun Music, KTV, Surya TV, Gemini TV, Udaya TV, Teja News, Ushe News, WIN TV, Sun FM, Surya FM, all TV and Radio channels, Sumngali Cable Vision and SCV, both Multi System Operators, Kumkumam, Murasoli, Dhinakran, Tamil Murasu, all Magaziens and News papers and Mekala Pictures, a film producing and distributing unit. That is DMK under Karunanidhi. Worker will always be a worker and his progeny cannot hope to become even one hundredth as rich as any of the progenies of Karunanidhi.

Karunanidhi takes delight to announce that he is related to Dalits because his son Alagiri married a Dalit. What people miss to notice is that, because Alagiri married a Dalit, he is deliberately sidelined by Karunanidhi although Alagiri is senior to Stalin very senior to Dhayanidhi Maran. Compared to that of Dayanidhi Maran , contribution by Alagiri in building up DMK especially in southern districts, deserves better recognition by Karunanidhi. That is for the love Karunanidhi has for Dalits.

But for MGR and Jayalalitha Karunanidhi would have swindled and rolled out Tamil Nadu to his backyard. It was God's boon to Tamilians that these two leaders appeared on the scene of Tamil Nadu.

Can, but able?

Jayalalitha is bold and tough and hence she has taken tough decision. Tough decisions can either be good or bad. By taking back all bad decisions she is projecting herself as a good administrator.

But good administration is just not taking tough decision. One has to be creative, strategic and also empathetic while taking decision. Which is totally absent in her. Both the dravidan have been big bore. Want tamilandu requires is an alternative definetly not vaiko or congress or vijaykanth definetly not subramaniam swamy.

CM throws 'more light on DMK corruption'

CM throws 'more light on DMK corruption'

By Our Special Correspondent

CHENNAI, SEPT. 14. The last day of the budget session witnessed the ruling party members, led by the Chief Minister, Ms. Jayalalithaa, come up with more allegations against the DMK regime.

Purchase of sodium vapour lamps, allotment of Housing Board plots, tarpaulin and veterinary medicine purchases, copra and rice procurement were among the ``deals'' in which largescale corruption was involved, the AIADMK alleged.

The Chief Minister said sodium vapour lamps were installed in town panchayats and municipalities where tubelights would have sufficed. The then Local Administration Minister was responsible for this, she added.

Giving details, she said a ``tubelight set'' cost only Rs. 740 (Electricity Board rate) while a sodium vapour lamp cost Rs. 3,590. A tubelight consumed only 182.5 units of electricity per annum, while the consumption was 1905 units for sodium vapour lamps. This meant that apart from purchasing costly lamps which the local bodies could ill-afford, they ran up huge arrears to the EB; the bill was Rs.19.75 crores. With tubelights, this would have been a mere Rs.5.85 crores. The loss to the Government to the tune of Rs.7.36 crores and to the EB of about Rs.13.9 crores occurred because of the previous Government, she said.

Between 1996 and 2001, as many as 51,496 expensive lamps were purchased at a cost of Rs.25.40 crores. Instead, had tubelights been used at two for every sodium vapour lamp, they would have cost just over Rs.18 crores.

The former Local Administration Minister, Mr. Ko. Si. Mani, pointed out that when the present Government spent Rs. 3 crores on growing grass, there was nothing wrong in providing better lighting to the people. Besides, local bodies themselves made the purchases. The Chief Minister pointed out that the member was referring to astro-turf when he mentioned grass.

Not to be left behind, the Finance Minister, in his reply, went back to his pet theme of ``scientific corruption'' indulged in by the DMK. Mr.Ponnaiyan, after having time and again referred to one powerful DMK Minister, finally named the Union Industries Minister, Mr. Murasoli Maran, as being close to some big firms like L & T. This led to even tender conditions being drawn up such in a manner as to favour these large firm close to Mr.Maran, he alleged. The modified tender terms formed the basis for `scientific corruption'.

The Housing Minister, Mr. A. K. Selvaraj, said 17 plots in the Besant Nagar division of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board here were allotted to persons close to the former DMK rulers.

Among the beneficiaries were Ms. Ponmani Vairamuthu, wife of the film lyricist, Mr. Vairamuthu, and the television news reader, Ms. Nirmala Periyasamy, the Minister said, responding to a query raised by the Mr. Sekar Babu (AIADMK).

The Minister said legal action would be initiated to retrieve the property which was allotted contrary to rules at a cheap rate under the Government discretionary quota.

While the ruling party members shouted and the DMK members indulged in counter-shouting leading to pandemonium, the Speaker asked the Opposition whether he had the right to deny permission for the members to raise questions. When Mr.Durai Murugan (DMK) answered in the affirmative, the Speaker asked the DMK members to resume the seat.

Later, Mr.Ponmudi said the allotment was made from the discretionary quota. The history of allotment since the formation of the housing board would throw more light on the issue. Mentioning the names of some ruling party Ministers, he said they too were beneficiaries. At this, Mr.Ponnaiyan clarified that he was allotted land long ago, when there was a proposal to make available commercial plots for developing hospitals. The Education Minister, Dr. M. Thambi Durai, was also allotted a plot for the same purpose.

A visibly agitated Education Minister said one former Minister, driven by a desire to own the whole of Anna Nagar, had tried to force him out of his land. His allotment was cancelled and he had to go to court, the Minister said. ``If you want that land now, take it. I have been able to do nothing with it,'' he said.

Jayalalithaa: From alluring actress to powerful politician

Jayalalithaa: From alluring actress to powerful politician

by D.B.S. Jeyaraj

India in general and its Tamil Nadu state in particular have spawned many colourful political personalities. Standing out among these figures is Jayalalithaa Jayaram, the actress-politico of Tamil Nadu.

The Former Chief Minister and All-India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagham (ADMK) Leader turns 62 today, February 24.

Jayalalithaa Jayaram

Earlier her name was spelled with one ‘a’ (Jayalalitha) at the end. Later a second ‘a’ was added (Jayalalithaa) due to reasons of numerology.

Liberation Tigers

Jayalalithaa had become well-known for her rigid stance against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). She was instrumental in passing a resolution in the Tamil Nadu legislature that LTTE leader Velupipllai Prabhakaran be arrested and extradited to India for the Rajiv Gandhi assassination.

When chief minister, Jayalalithaa was extremely hard on Sri Lankan Tamils resident in Tamil Nadu in a bid to wipe out all presence of the LTTE in the state. When Tamil civilians were affected in Sri Lanka during the war against the LTTE ,Jayalalithaa justified it as being inevitable at times of war. Supporters of the LTTE loved to hate her describing her as “Paapaathi” (Brahmin woman).

A woman walks in front of a portrait of Jayalalithaa in Chennai March 2, 2009.

But all things changed utterly last year during elections to the Lok Sabha . In a remarkable change of stance Jayalalithaa expressed full support for the LTTE and confronted the Congress-led Indian Central Government and DMK state government of Tamil Nadu.

She advocated an immediate end to the war if she and her allies got the bulk of seats allocated to Tamil Nadu (39) and Pondicherry (1).Jayalalithaa was supported by parties like the MDMK, PMK, CPI, CPM etc in the campaign.

The LTTE and its supporters misread the political situation and hoped for a defeat of the Congress and its ally the DMK.The unrealistic expectation was that if the BJP captured power at the centre with The AIADMK winning the lions share of 40 seats , Jayalalithaa would get New Delhi to restrain the Sri Lankan govt from proceeding with the war thus providing a respite to the beleaguered tigers.

So great was this expectation that tiger and pro-tiger organizations amidst the Sri Lankan Tamil Diaspora began singing paeans of praise to the “Puratchi thalaivi”(revolutionary leader) and “Ithayatheivam” (god of the heart).

Laudatory messages sent to Jayalalithaa were lapped up by the AIADMK leader who must surely have relished this bizarre twist where those who had vehemently criticised her earlier were now fawning at her feet.

But the hopes became dupes when the Congress-DMK combine won the elections.

With that defeat ended Jayalalithaa’s short-lived honeymoon with tiger supporters. Events moved rapidly and the LTTE itself was vanquished and virtually destroyed last May.

Uncrowned queen

Looking at her rotund appearance today, few would imagine the time when Jayalalithaa was slim and lissom. That she was, and a ravishing beauty too.

As an actress, Jayalalithaa was the uncrowned queen of Tamil cinema during the mid-’60s to the mid-’70s of the last century. She was the dream girl of many a teenager and the favourite pin-up star of many fans.

Enna Porutham MGR~from Ragasiya Police 115

Among those infatuated with her was the famous actor-politician, M.G. Ramachandran (MGR), with whom she paired in nearly 30 films. Though unmarried, Jayalalithaa was regarded as the love of MGR’s life.

Podhumoo Intha Idam~ Naan, starring with Ravichandran

However, she has been linked romantically to other people including actors like Shoban Babu, Ravichandran, Jaishanker and Mutturaman.

Jayalalithaa was born on February 24, 1948 in Mysore in the Karnataka state. Because of this, many think she is a Kannadiga and her political rivals often call her that.

The reality is that she is from a Tamil Aiyengar Brahmin family hailing from Sreerangam in Trichy. Her grandfather was a physician in the service of the Mysore Maharajah. Hence the family relocated to that state.

Despite her detractors ridiculing her as a Kannadiga, Jayalalithaa has always been proud to assert her Tamil identity.

Courageous

In 1970, long before she entered politics, Jayalalithaa told a Kannada journal that she was a Tamil and not a Kannadiga. This caused a furore in Karnataka.

Jayalalithaa

When Jayalalithaa was shooting for a Tamil film “Ganga Gowri” in Bangalore (now Bengalooru), a Kannadiga mob surrounded her and threatened to kill her if she did not retract.

But the courageous Jayalalithaa refused to be intimidated and stood her ground, reiterating that she was Thamizhian and not a Kannadiga.

Jayalalithaa’s father Jayaram was an irresponsible wastrel who squandered the family fortune. This led to her mother, Vedavalli, becoming a film actor to support the family.

She took on the name Sandhya. Soon she relocated to Chennai, or Madras, as it was known then.

Jayalalithaa’s given name was Komalavalli, but her pet name is Ammu. She studied at the elite Bishop Cotton High School in Bangalore and later at the Church Park Convent in Madras.

In 1964, she passed out second in the state matriculation exam and was given a merit scholarship. She did not pursue higher studies as her destiny was films.

She learnt Bharatha Natyam and carnatic music and had her dance arangetram in 1960. Veteran actor Sivaji Ganesan who presided called her a “thangachilai,” or golden statue, on account of her fair, glowing skin.

Veteran Film Director B.R. Bhanthulu saw her at a film function and got her to act in a Kannada film. The maestro Sreedhar gave her a break in Tamil films. She played the role of a schizophrenic widow in Vennira Aadai (White Dress) and got rave reviews.

Passport to success

Her passport to success was her second Tamil film, Aayirathil Oruvan (one man in a 1,000) where she played leading lady to MGR. Despite the 32-year difference in age, the duo was a hot pair. They acted together in 28 films.

Jayalalithaa in Kattazhagu Tangamaghal from Kavalkaran

Among her successes were Adimai Penn, Naan, Maatukkaara Velan, Aathiparasakthi, Pattikaadaa Pattanamaa, Kavalkaran, Engiruntho Vanthaal, etc.

Her last film was Nathiyai Thedi Vantha Kadal in 1978.

Jayalalithaa has acted in more than 100 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and even one English movie, The Epistle. More than 75 of these ran for more than 100 days in theatres. Eight were silver jubilee (25 weeks)hits

She has also sung songs in her own voice in some if not all films. She has a creamy, croony voice. Her first film song was Amma Endraal Anbu, written by Vaali and composed by K.V. Mahadevan.

An accomplished dancer, she lit up the screen and stage by her performances. Her dance drama, “Kaviri Thantha Kalaichelvi”, was a smashing success.

Though she played glamorous roles, she was a good actress and made an impression if given challenging roles with scope to display histrionic ability.

Thirumangalyam was Jayalalithaa’s 100th film. There was a felicitation ceremony where the Chief Minister at the time, Muttuvel Karunanidhi, was the guest of honour. He praised her as one who had “devised literature in acting” (“Nadippukku ilakkiam vahuthavar”).

She exuded chic and élan in her film career and was a favourite among teens of that era. She designed many of her costumes and was one of the first heroines to don bathing costumes. Jayalalithaa was a bombshell in bikini.

Jayalalithaa was versatile. She has been a columnist, short story writer, novelist and film producer.

Her house, named Veda Nilaayam after her mother, is in Poes Garden. There is an indoor skating rink built there. She also has a grape arbour in Andhra Pradesh, which she uses to get away from the crowd.

In recent times she bought an estate in Kodagu region where she retires frequently for extended periods neglecting politics.

MGR connection

It was MGR who brought her into politics. After his death in 1987, the ADMK founded by MGR split, with his wife Janaki and paramour Jayalalithaa leading the two factions.

Jayalalithaa triumphed and the party united under her leadership to sweep the polls in 1991. She was elected Chief Minister. She remains the imperious yet undisputed leader of the ADMK today.

Jayalalithaa became the ADMK’s propaganda and later administrative secretary. She was Rajya Sabha MP in 1984. In 1989 she entered Tamil Nadu legislature as an elected MLA. Jayalalithaa was chief minister from 1991-1996.

She was re-elected as CM in 2001 but had to relinquish office for a few years due to a legal wrangle. Jayalalithaa handed over reins to a caretaker CM O.S.Panneerselvam but controlled events. She then won a by-election and became CM till 2006.

Few in her party dare to call her by name and so she is either “Amma,” “Madam” or “Thalaivi.” Since MGR was called “Puratchi Thalaiver,” or revolutionary leader, Jayalalithaa is addressed by its feminine equivalent, “Puratchi Thalaivi.” Like MGR, she too is called “Ithaya Deivam” (Goddess of the Heart).

Many in her party treat her as a living deity and at least one of her former ministers pats his cheeks reverentially when referring to her. Some ministers have gone on record saying their ambition in life is to be her servant or be a watchdog in her kennel.

There was a time when in a movie called Thanipiravi MGR played Lord Muruga and Jayalalithaa his consort Valli, in a dream sequence. A picture of both together as Murugan and Valli was framed and worshipped by many.

Likewise, Jayalalithaa has played divine roles in many other films. Pictures of Jayalalithaa in such roles are hung in many dwellings. Some people light camphor and lay flowers before them.

Sycophants went to the extent of depicting her as the Madonna in posters. Enraged Catholics protested and the posters were removed.

Falling at her feet or touching them as a mark of respect is almost a ritual for many of her followers. Touching or falling at the feet of elders to seek their blessings is customary in India.

Sycophantic behaviour

But in the case of Jayalalithaa, ADMK sycophants have taken this practice to ridiculous levels. Even party veterans older than Jayalalithaa prostrate themselves publicly.

One amusing scene in the past was when Jayalalithaa visited a remote area by helicopter. Verty-clad party men standing in a line fell down like ninepins as she alighted from the aircraft. When they got up, the white vertys were all red due to the reddish soil. It was a sight!

Once she was questioned by a north Indian journalist about this “falling at her feet” practice and asked why she did not put a stop to it, she replied that her supporters were doing so voluntarily due to their affectionate regard for her and that she was unable to prevent it.

This was not correct because it is well-known that she likes it and encourages it. That’s why the sycophants do it. Jayalalithaa also utilises this act to humiliate people.

In one instance a man who had left her party and criticised her returned to its folds again. The media was called in to witness the return of the prodigal. This man, K.K.S.R. Ramachandran, was a big-made man with a very big moustache.

He was required to prostrate himself four times before a smilingly-seated Jayalalithaa under the pretext that the photographers had not got a good shot. The picture was released to all papers.

According to some observers, even her mentor and paramour MGR had some kind of a foot fetish for Jayalalithaa.

In many of the films in which they acted together, there were scenes of MGR touching Jayalalithaa’s feet such as removing a thorn from her sole or massaging a sprained ankle.

Apparently the man who founded the ADMK had a fixation on her feet. Now members of MGR’s party are at Jayalalithaa’s feet, metaphorically and literally.

Like Imelda Marcos Jayalalithaa herself had a fascination for footwear. There were media reports and pictures of her 800 plus shoes, sandals and slippers.

A funny phenomenon is the sycophantic references to her feet by party men when commencing their speeches. In a disgusting spectacle they begin by paying homage to her “potpaadangal” (golden feet) or “thamaraithiruvadigal” (lotus feet).

Arrogant dominatrix

One point on which she is often criticised is her arrogance. She is virtually a dominatrix with party people and treats them like her minions and serfs.

There was a time when Jayalalithaa would be the only person sitting on a stage while others would remain standing or seated on the floor. Later she dispensed with this practice but allows only selected people to sit next to her.

When a senior Minister, Munu Aathi, dared to sit next at a function, she flared up and publicly ordered him to move back.

On another occasion a Congress cabinet minister from Tamil Nadu tried to sit next to her on a flight to New Delhi. She shouted at him to get lost and referred derisively to his caste.

The man was a Dalit. There was a big outcry and a public apology was demanded. She did not budge.

At inner meetings of the party she remains seated while the rest sit on the floor or remain standing. There have been press conferences where her ministers stand behind her with folded hands while she sits on a sofa.

During election campaigns Jayalalithaa goes around on whirlwind tours in her luxurious trailer-van. Short roadside meetings are held where candidates have to stand on a stool while she talks. Even central cabinet ministers like Mani Shankar Aiyer had to undergo this.

There is no inner party democracy in the ADMK. Jayalalithaa appoints, removes, transfers, promotes, demotes, expels and recruits at her own discretion. Ministers are appointed, fired or shuffled according to her whims. Her wish is the party’s command. None dares to disobey let alone defy.

Contempt for media

She is an autocrat who does not tolerate criticism. She looks down upon the media and brooks no dissent. Once she even took on the powerful “Hindu” newspaper , ordering the arrest of several journalists including Executive Editor Malini Parthasarathy.

The influential newspaper group had to tug at strings in New Delhi to make her back down.

I once witnessed firsthand the utter contempt she has for the media. It was in early 1985 and I was in Tamil Nadu on an assignment. Jayalalithaa was then a Rajya Sabha (upper house) member and propaganda secretary of the ADMK.

An Indian journalist pal took me along for a press conference held by her. Thank God, we were all given chairs to sit. She started off with a bang by asking the Herald Review correspondent to stand up. This was a news magazine of the Deccan Herald newspaper.

Once the journalist identified himself, Jayalalithaa pitched into him. Apparently in an article the scribe had referred to Jayalalithaa as being “hysterical.” She took offence to that and launched a tirade about the meaning of hysterical.

If anyone had doubts about her being hysterical, Jayalalithaa’s performance that day demonstrated what hysteria was all about.

She then ordered him to leave but to the credit of the fourth estate, they protested at the treatment meted out to their colleague. With Jayalalithaa remaining adamant, the journalists announced that they were walking out en masse.

She then relented and conducted the conference with the correspondent in attendance.

This, however, was at a time when MGR was alive and Jayalalithaa had not become party leader or Chief Minister. I do not know how the journalists would have reacted to a similar incident under present circumstances.

Ironic contradiction

While her haughty demeanour and arrogant attitude deserves to be condemned, there is perhaps a rationale for such behaviour. The ascendancy of Jayalalithaa in a Tamil Nadu milieu can be viewed as an ironic contradiction.

Despite the breeze of cosmopolitanism blowing in through globalisation, the state of Tamil Nadu is basically conservative. It is a patriarchal, male-dominated society with strict notions of a woman’s role and place. Jayalalithaa is a woman.

Tamil Nadu society at large has contempt for women actors in the cine field who do not behave as ‘good’ women should. Woman film stars, in spite of their glamour, are not respected and regarded with disdain in private. Jayalalithaa was an actress.

The dominant political ideology in the state is that of Dravidianism. This is based on archaic concepts of the Aryan-Dravidian divide where the Brahmin community is seen as Aryans and other Tamils as Dravidians. Anti-Brahminism is a core element of Dravidian discourse. Jayalalithaa is a Brahmin.

Thus, one can see that the Jayalalithaa phenomenon goes against the grain of three dominant concepts in Tamil Nadu. She is a woman, a film star and a Brahmin.

The success of this embodiment in the socio-political realm of Tamil Nadu is a contradiction. Jayalalithaa, in a way, is an exception or aberration.

In that context, the situation can be quite dicey for her. If she were to be democratic and easygoing, the people surrounding her would exploit it to their advantage. Instead of appreciating her conduct, they would very likely regard it as a weakness and take advantage.

An Indian editor once told me of an incident that happened in 1988. The ADMK had split after MGR’s death and both factions were trying to take control of the party headquarters building. When Jayalalithaa joined demonstrations, party supporters mobbed her.

Sadly, she had to be rescued by the Police from her own supporters. Jayalalithaa used to wear pure white sarees with thin borders then. The Indian editor told me that her saree and blouse were full of grubby finger marks. Apparently, her supporters had used the opportunity to try and fondle her or squeeze her.

In later life she had her own set of bodyguards to prevent supporters from getting close to her. There was an urge on the part of some males not merely to simply touch her but also do “squeeze” if they could.

Cult figure

When she entered politics, many party members were dazzled by her beauty and easy accessibility. They were extra-attentive to her and ever ready to make physical contact. A regional leader from Madurai called “Pazhakkadai” Pandi went ballistic once on stage. He was reprimanded by MGR.

Thereafter the order went out from MGR that Jayalalithaa should be treated with reverence. This changed the situation. Soon party people showed great subservience to her. Slowly she was promoted as a superior, cult figure.

After MGR’s death Jayalalithaa was quite vulnerable. It was then that she realised she had to assert unquestionable superiority over her party people to remain in control. Superiority and not equality was necessary. The followers had to be put in place as inferiors.

This she began to do. Soon she became an authoritative figure. She grew into her role and her inherent traits of arrogance came to the fore.

She humiliated her followers to show who was boss and trampled them underfoot. Incredible as it may seem, they seem to like it, with even highly educated professionals paying pooja horizontally to the boss lady.

Her detractors and political rivals continue to attack her on what they think are her weak spots. She is called “anthap pombiley” (that woman) or “paapaathy” (Brahmin woman) often.

Once when she was in the opposition, DMK Minister Duraimurugan tried to strip her in the Assembly.

When she raised a question, the present Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi replied, “Go and ask Sobhan Babu.” This was a Telugu film star with whom Jayalalithaa was involved romantically at one stage.

Even recently DMK Deputy Leader Anbalaghan retorted to a charge by her, derisively asking her about her “past.”

Vindictive streak

This state of affairs may help to understand the reasons for her arrogant conduct but it certainly cannot condone it. Moreover, there is a vicious, vindictive streak to her that often manifests itself in controversial ways.

There was a woman administrative officer (IAS), Chandralekha, with whom she had a disagreement. Soon acid was thrown by goondas on Chandralekha’s face.

As Chief Minister she abused her authority and incarcerated her rival, Karunanidhi. The Police carried the howling man away.

When maverick politico Dr. Subramaniam Swamy fell foul of her, Jayalalithaa organised a hostile reception for him in Chennai. Members of the ADMK Women’s League raised their sareees in a protest demonstration.

“Subramanian Swamy has met his waterloo,” gloated Jayalalithaa publicly. “I will send Jayalalithaa to the loo without water,” retorted Swamy.

Due to a dispute with the Kachipuram “Sangara madam” Holy seer Sri Jayendra Swamigal, Jayalalithaa went to the extent of getting him arrested on what seemed to be false charges.

Jayalalithaa was corrupt to the core. Together with her “life friend” (uyirtholi) Sasikala Nadarajah, she engaged in massive corruption. Sasikala was like a woman Friday to her. Their corruption and amassed wealth has often been publicised in the media.

Jayalalithaa was arrested after her downfall in 1996 on corruption charges. Newspapers were full of stories about her assets and properties. Her corpulence was a sign of her ill-gotten opulence.

Jayalalithaa’s relationship with Sasikala is a controversial issue for Tamil Nadu. They are seemingly inseparable. Sasikala, who is called “Sinnamma” by party people, wields enormous influence.

She also adopted as son, Sashikala’s nephew and arranged a grand wedding for him where huge sums of money were spent in vulgar celebration. Even now various family members of Shashikala hold powerful positions within the party.

Whatever her deficiencies, Jayalalithaa remains a towering figure in Tamil Nadu politics. Jayalalithaa’s arch rival Karunanidhi is an octogenarian. After his demise, there will be no one in the state to match Jayalalithaa in stature and popularity.

She will then very likely be the solitary moon among lesser stars in the Tamil Nadu political firmament.

To save Cong-DMK ties, officer probing Raja scam transferred

September 25, 2010 10:31:59 PM

J Gopikrishnan | New Delhi

Central Bureau of Investigation DIG Vineet Agarwal, the head of investigation into the controversial 2G spectrum allocation by Telecom Minister A Raja, has been packed off to his parent State cadre. A Maharashtra cadre officer, Agarwal was sent back on completion of his deputation tenure on March 31. This despite the fact that courts have regularly passed orders in favour of retaining the heads of investigation teams in sensitive cases like the fodder scam, Koda scam and others.

Incidentally, the Central Vigilance Commission — which is supervising the spectrum probe — has to date not even been officially communicated the decision taken by the Department of Personnel and Training, which comes under the Prime Minister.

Agarwal had become an eyesore for several key players in the spectrum scam after he unearthed clinching evidence to establish their complicity in the biggest scandal to hit the country in the recent past. Sources said Agarwal’s removal was part of a game plan to bury the truth in the spectrum scam.

Sources said CBI director Ashwani Kumar was summoned by the PMO in the last week of October 2009, soon after the CBI registered an FIR in the spectrum scam on the orders of the CVC. According to CBI sources, the director in the first meeting with the investigation team told the sleuths that the PMO had told him to ensure that “unnecessary embarrassment” was not created for the UPA Government in the course of inquiry. According to sources, the director was asked to consult a senior PMO official on “each and every step” of the investigation. Terming the spectrum case a “hot potato”, the director had told the investigation team to get his clearance before making any arrests in the case.

Within weeks of launching the probe, the CBI sleuths found gross irregularities in money flow into Swan Telecom, the major beneficiary in the spectrum scam. Along with the foreign investor Etisalat, Genex Exim (a small newly-created firm from Tamil Nadu) received Rs 380 crore worth of shares in Swan Telecom which, the CBI believes, was a kickback for the favouritism shown in the spectrum allocation.

This small firm was the front company for the Dubai-based conglomerate ETA Star Ascon, owned by the NRI tycoon Sayed Salahuddin, haling from Kilukarai in Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu.

After questioning Swan’s (now known as Etisalat DB India) Shahid Balwa, the CBI had decided to question Sayed Salahuddin and sought clearance from a very senior official in the PMO. The NRI tycoon was visiting New Delhi between January 7 and 9 in connection with the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebration and it was during his stay in the Capital that the CBI wanted to grill him.

But the agency sleuths were asked to stay away from Salahuddin till March 13, sources said, on the ground that he was the contractor for the new Legislative Secretariat complex, which was to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on March 13. Congress chief Sonia Gandhi was also to attend the function. Salahuddin is closely associated with the DMK-led Tamil Nadu Government and running a public insurance scheme through his Star Health Insurance. For the past four decades, most of the flyovers in Tamil Nadu were constructed by this NRI businessman. He was also the distributor for some films scripted by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi in the early 1970s.

The Genex Exim, which is termed an Indian investor by Swan, had transferred Rs 380 crore within 24 hours by routing the money through four destinations — Dubai, Mauritius, Chennai and Mumbai.

Agarwal was transferred from the CBI on March 31, a few days after the Prime Minister wrote to Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy that “it was premature to grant sanction to prosecute Raja as the CBI investigation is going on” in the spectrum scam.

Agarwal has been reportedly removed from the probe team because his line of investigation threatened to establish Raja’s direct links with the scam and create severe strain on the Congress-DMK ties.

On the directive of the CVC on October 15, 2009, the CBI took up the investigation in the spectrum scam on October 22 and raided the offices of the DoT and the beneficiary telecom companies. Since the investigation was proceeding under the supervision of the CVC, the CBI was expected to inform it of the case progress at regular intervals. But, according to sources, no such information has been filed by the CBI to the CVC to date, including the transfer of the probe team chief.

Subramanian Swamy on 2G scam

Enough evidence, let Raja be prosecuted – Subramanian Swamy on 2G scam
24.09.2010 | 22:01
New Delhi
Upmanyu Trivedi

Janta Party head, Subramanian Swamy today moved Supreme Court, for issuing directions to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to prosecute A. Raja, the Union Minister of Communications and Information Technology, for his alleged involvement in Rs 70,000 crore 2G spectrum allocation scam. Swamy in his petition claims that “enough unimpeachable evidence has been indicated to initiate prosecution”.

Swamy has also moved an application seeking permissions to argue the case himself as he did in Delhi High Court on the same case. Delhi High Court bench comprising Justices Deepak Mishra and Manmohan had however rejected to grant his prayers saying, “In our considered opinion, when the matter is being investigated by the investigating agency, it is not in the fitness of things to pass any order”.

In his Special Leave Petition (SLP) Swamy has claimed that his application before Prime Minister for requisite action againt Raja has been pending since two years. The SLP makes Prime Minster and A. Raja respondents in the case. He pleads that directions be issued to Prime Minister for prosecuting Raja under section 19 (Previous sanction necessary for prosecution) of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 read with Article 75 (Other provisions as to Ministers) of the Constitution of India.

It is alleged in the petition that since two years no action has been taken and despite “Chief Vigilance Commissioner (CVC), the Controller and Auditor General of India and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) all have found that there is a prima facie case of corruption made out” Manmohan Singh refuses to decide the petitioner’s application on ground that “case is still under investigation”.

To support his case, Swamy cites Supreme Court’s judgment which held that, “otherwise more lengthy enquiries might well be just an attempt to scuttle the enquiry and prosecution the deciding authority must do so within a short period of three or four months”.

Worth noting, Supreme Court is already hearing a case by Centre for Public Interest Litigation through P over the same scam. The court has in last hearing, gave ten days time to Raja to respond over the matter.

The alleged 70,000 crore scam
On 10.01.2008, Department of Telecommunications (DoT) issued a press release announcing its decision to issue licenses on the basis of first-come-first. Allegedly, the release stated that those who applied till 25.09.2007 would be given licenses but the last date for submission of the applications was advanced from 1.10.2007 to 25.9.2007 by an announcement made much after that period was over.

Further, “Later that day at about 2.45pm, DoT posted an announcement on its website that those who apply between 3.30 to 4.30 pm would be issued licenses. Those who deposited their fees along with documentation first were favoured in accordance with the controversial ‘first come first served’ system. Thus the favoured few companies who just happened to have their drafts of hundreds of crores and documentation ready, were ahead of everyone else in the queue.” He alleges that Law Ministry noting, urging that the matter be first vetted by a Group of Ministers was ignored and nine licenses were issued to “crony firms”.

On 15.11.2008, CVC issued a show cause notice to Raja sent a detailed report to the Prime Minister, reiterating the demand for Raja’s prosecution. A year later on 21.10.2009 FIR was registered by CBI on the scam.

Swamy claims to have repeatedly written to Manmohan Singh demanding sanction to prosecute A Raja but failing in the attempt he filed a writ petition in Delhi High Court in April 2010. After being dismissed in High Court on 18.08.2010 Swamy moved Supreme Court today.

Spectrum Allocation Scam

Subramanian Swamy moves court, urges action against Raja

By Indo Asian News Service | Tuesday, May 18, 2010 | 6:58:29 PM IST (+05:30 GMT)

New Delhi, May 18 (IANS) Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy Tuesday pleaded before the Delhi High Court that the prime minister's explanation be sought for not acting against Communications and IT Minister A. Raja over the alleged 2G spectrum allocation scam.

Arguing before Acting Chief Justice Madan B. Lokur and Justice Mukta Gupta, Swamy said: 'Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should be directed to grant sanction to prosecute Raja as he was allegedly the mastermind in the 2G allotment scam.'

'Eighteen months are too long and the prime minister should have decided on my application for getting sanction to prosecute Raja. If he thinks that the material placed by me is worthless, then he should have rejected my application. But he cannot sit on my plea,' Swamy said.

Referring to a letter of the Prime Minister's Office, Swamy submitted that the prime minister refused to decide on his complaint on the ground that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had registered a case against some unknown persons in the 2G spectrum allocation irregularity, and that investigations are still going on.

The arguments remained inconclusive and will continue Wednesday and the government will make its stand clear on the issue.

The spectrum scam created a furore in parliament after a newspaper report on the tapping of phone conversations between a high-profile lobbyist and public relations firm owner and Minister Raja alleged wrongdoing in the allocation of 2G spectrum.

Meanwhile, Swamy also filed a fresh petition seeking the court's direction to scrap the allocation of 2G spectrum to telecom companies on the ground that the procedure followed by the Department of Telecommunication was arbitrary, illegal and against the norms.

Kalaignar Karunanidhi: Will the ‘rationalist’ chief minister face the challenge of ‘superstition’ – Thamizhchelvan

M. Karunanidhi

“Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi, throughout his political career, has survived by adopting the divide & rule policy conceived by the British through distortion of our history and civilisation. He has never missed a single opportunity to make disparaging remarks about Hindus, Hindu Gods, philosophy and culture, apart from denigrating Sanskrit and Hindi, and simultaneously he has appeased minorities for their votes.”

“If he wants to prove to his party cadres that he is a true rationalist, disciple of EVR and follower of Annadurai, he must enter the temple through the main entrance.” - Thamizhchelvan

Reporting on the renovation of temples at a cost of around Rs. 450 crores by the Tamil Nadu government, the Delhi-based daily, The Pioneer, said, “TN CM is full of Karuna and Nidhi for Temples.” The Chennai edition of The Times of India said, “Tamil Nadu CM turns temple patron”.

Both newspapers didn’t fail to remark about the Chief Minister’s atheistic ideology and anti-Brahmin stand. However, it is a surprise why they should hype the government’s spending of Rs. 450 crores which is a pittance compared to the revenue it gets from the temples by means of contributions made by Hindu bhaktas. After all, it is the duty of the government to spend the money on temple related projects, as the money has been contributed by Hindus only for that purpose.

Though both newspapers naively speculated on the CM’s attitudinal change, observers of TN politics are aware of his dubiousness in this regard. His political preference is exactly opposite his personal preference, but a major section of the people of Tamil Nadu has not understood his double standards.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi, throughout his political career, has survived by adopting the divide & rule policy conceived by the British through distortion of our history and civilisation. He has never missed a single opportunity to make disparaging remarks about Hindus, Hindu Gods, philosophy and culture, apart from denigrating Sanskrit and Hindi, and simultaneously he has appeased minorities for their votes.

E.V. Ramasamy

When Hindus protested against the installation of atheist EV Ramasamy’s statue in front of the famous Srirangam temple in 2006, he asked, “When temple towers have nude sculptures and when nude Gods and Goddesses are kept inside the temples, what is wrong in having a well dressed EVR in front of the temple?”

On the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi in 2007, he said, “Lord Ganesha was born in Vathapi (Karnataka) and was brought to Tamil Nadu from there during Pallava period and hence he is not a Tamil God.” His TV Channel (Kalaignar TV) brazenly launched its telecast on the auspicious day of Ganesh Chaturthi. However, he has never made insulting remarks about Bhagwan Muruga, younger brother of Ganesha, as Muruga/Karthik is revered and worshipped as a “Tamil God”.

Sri Rama

At the peak of the Rama Setu Protection Movement against the Setu Samudram Project, Karunanidhi said, “Some say there was a person over 17 lakh years ago. His name was Ramar. Do not touch the bridge constructed by him, they are saying. But then, from which engineering college did he graduate? Is there any proof for this?” Then, touching his pet Aryan-Dravidian theory, he exposed his “knowledge” of the Ramayana: “Rama is an Aryan God and Ravana is a Dravidian King, and the communal (read Hindu) organizations working against Setu Samudram project are Aryans trying to stall the development of Dravidian Tamil Nadu”

Later, sitting relaxed at his bungalow during NDTV’s Walk the Talk program, he told Shekhar Gupta of Indian Express, “Tulsi Das had written in his Ramayana that Sita was the sister of Rama and Valmiki had written that Rama was a drunkard,” thereby exposing his knowledge of Tulsi Ramayana and Valmiki Ramayana. He has never criticized Bhagwan Krishna, and allegedly worships him in secrecy in the Krishna temple just opposite his residence!

Karunanidhi & bishops

As Chief Minister, he always conveys his official greetings to Muslims and Christians on the eve of all their festivals, but never greets Hindus on the eve of any festival. He greets the people only on Pongal / Sankranti which, thought celebrated nation-wide, is held to be a Tamil cultural festival.

Karunanidhi conveniently avoids criticizing anything connected with Tamil, be it God, festival, or culture. His selective amnesia makes his forget the fact that his ‘mentor’ EVR was a Kannadiga from Karnataka, and he himself has a Telugu ancestry and Telugu as his mother tongue. This ‘atheist’ has a ‘divine’ habit of always wearing a yellow shawl, for which he has given many ‘rational’ explanations, not one of which is convincing. The truth is that yellow is the colour associated with Bhagwan Dakshinamurthy and Karunanidhi’s original name is Dakshinamurthy; he wears a yellow shawl allegedly on the advice of a team of astrologers.

Naked brahmin

He is reputed to have stated: “I am not against Brahmins, but only against Brahmanism. Brahmanism practiced by people of any caste will be opposed by me and my party.” He doesn’t hesitate to keep many Brahmins around him in important posts. Even for health care, he keeps Brahmin doctors; his yoga teacher is also a Brahmin. But he indulges in ridiculing Brahmins, as evidenced by his party organ Murasoli spewing venom on the weekly magazines Kalki and Vikatan, calling their editors as ‘Poonal wearing Paappaans” (sacred thread wearing Brahmins; Paappaan is a derogatory term for Brahmin), because of their constructive criticism against his government.

It is relevant to view his rationalism, anti-Brahmanism, and so-called love for Tamil culture in the context of the forthcoming millennium celebrations of the Thanjavur Temple.

In 2007, when danseuse Padma Subramaniam laid the foundation for the Bharat Muni Temple, he refused to send greetings contending that only Ilango Adigal, who wrote Silappatikaram expounded the nuances of Bharat Natyam and not Bharat Muni. He added that building a memorial for Bharat Muni is a revival of Aryan oppression of Dravidians. It is true Ilango Adigal has comprehensively written about the nuances of Art and even the measurements of the arangam (auditorium) meticulously, but it is also held that Bharat Natyam is divine, founded by Bharat Muni, much before the time of Ilango Adigal, who only expounded upon an art form already in practice. It is said the real reason for Karunanidhi’s angst was that the temple was build on a 5-acre plot donated by the previous Jayalalithaa government; Padma was a good friend of Jayalalithaa.

Padma Subramniam

But Kalaignar facilitated a classical dance program by Padma Subramniam and her team in the recently held DMK jamboree called World Classical Tamil Conference. On 25 September 2010, the dancer will perform during the millennium celebrations of the Thanjavur Big Temple; the massive troupe will include 1000 dancers. So the chief minister knows how to promote himself and his pet causes.

The Thanjavur Big Temple has a jinx; any VIP who enters the temple premises through the main entrance called Keralanthan gate would lose power or fall ill or lose even his life within a few days. This gained credibility when former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was assassinated and former Chief Minister M.G. Ramachandran had a serious stroke, both in 1984, after using the said entrance.

During the last kumbabishekam (consecration) of the Big Temple in 1997, when the yagasala caught fire and about 45 persons, mostly women and 5 children, died and more than 200 were injured, the then Chief Minister Karunanidhi made a flying visit to Thanjavur to see the spot and meet the victims. He never took the main Keralanthaan entrance and entered via the side entrance called the Sivaganga Park gate.

Now, for the millennium celebrations, the Sivaganga Park entrance has been enlarged by demolishing the nearby wall and removing many plants from the park and laying a special pathway for VIPs – all to avoid entering the temple through the main gate. So much for Dravidian Rationalism!

Raja Gopuram

For the rationalist Kalaignar, Rama and Ganesha are mythical characters; Rama Setu is a mythical bridge; Ramayana is a myth. But the jinx attached to the Thanjavur Big Temple is a reality!

If he is a true disciple of E.V. Ramasamy, Karunanidhi must enter the temple through the main entrance.

If he is a true follower of Annadurai, Karunanidhi must enter the temple through the main entrance.

If he wants to prove to his party cadres that he is a true rationalist, disciple of EVR and follower of Annadurai, he must enter the temple through the main entrance.

If he is a product of the so-called Self Respect Movement, Karunanidhi must protect his party’s self respect by entering the temple through the main entrance.

He will be respected as a ‘Brave Tamil’ only if he enters the temple through the main entrance.

Will he?

Mortal blow to an immortal saint

When great leaders die, it has become an Indian habit to bury their ideals, ideas and even their passions alongwith them. Former CM and the immortal heartthrob of millions of Tamilians, especially the downtrodden and womenfolk, MGR, must be turning in his unfinished grave now, for one of his so-called acolytes has just pushed him a foot deeper into mud. If there is anything MGR held close to his heart till his death, it was his unadulterated hatred for Karunanidhi as an evil force and a political opponent.

In fact MGR's entire political baptism and his subsequent successes in the power games of TN was on the sole foundation of his opposition to Karunanidhi, and none, and that includes the self-appointed Man Friday of MGR, R.M.Veerappan, could erase the two decade war of attrition between the duo, from public memory.

Yet if R.M.Veerappan has the temerity to claim that he is a true follower of MGR, while in the company of Karunanidhi and then seeks to honour his only mentor's only bete noir, there could be only two possible reasons: That the loyal servant has concluded that a dead man has no memories, and so no chances of retribution and secondly he himself is suffering from a bout of the now familiar disease called Selective Amnesia.

But then MGR appears to be in elite company for it is not he alone who is being insulted posthumously. R.M.Veerappan, who claims to have been the sole conscience keeper of the charismatic leader, has also sought to resurrect the long dead revolutionary Ramanuja, only to hand out the most demeaning slur on the latter's reputation as social reformer.

One wonders what the hell has Karunanidhi achieved to be entitled to an award instituted in the name of the eleventh century scholar-saint, though the credentials of Veerappan, the R.M one, himself to invoke the long dead saint's name could also be questioned. But then dead greats are always a boon to our present day politicians and even a casual reading of a past who's who would offer them quite a few names for them to institute a few more awards.

Of course, they can rest assured that there would be no dearth of takers, given the craze among the current VIPs for honours, who do not bother to introspect whether they are entitled to it or not.

And so in tune with the trend, Karunanidhi has also accepted this disgrace on Ramanuja, with grace and glee, and has even gone on to suggest the reasons for R.M.Veerappan's sudden enlightenment. The rational CM says that Ramanuja was a great social reformer and so Veerappan must have been guided by that fact when he thought of him (Karunanidhi) as the best choice.

To put it bluntly, the CM's rationale for acceptance of the award, which he is unlikely to turn down, is plain outrage and reeks of a shameless sense of self projection. In short, Karunanidhi seems to say that he himself is a social reformer in the mould of Ramanuja, rather a true descendent of that great saint and hence is entitled to the award so graciously offered by his greatest enemy's once 'loyal' soldier.

Apparently, these paragons of dravidian yore have conveniently forgotten that Ramanuja, who was a revolutionary par excellence in an age of bigotry, was essentially a Believer and it was to enhance and enlarge his basic faith that, irrespective of caste and creed, he sought to unite all and sundry under the single nama of narayana.

Of course, for the hypocritical and hollow rhetoricians of the present dravidian yoke, it would take just a jiffy to invent and invoke a new slogan that would also go well with their Thaanai thalaivan's new found faith. For, their ideologies are as mutable as the towel on their shoulders.

It would not be altogether surprising to hear the chants of om namo narayana from the precincts of the Arivalayam soon, as it would be just another of those lip services that those unseemly occupants offer for public consumption so often. If a Ramanuja award warrants the utterance of the nama of narayana, then so be it.

But then we wonder where from Karunanidhi is going to cook up a history of social service that he claims to have done. If anything, the leader and his band of double-speak hypocrites have only wrought upon this State nothing but disaster whenever they have managed to amble to power.

They pioneered pillage and elevated it to scientific levels, an art which the poor Ramanuja would never even have heard of. Gun toting LTTE militants and bomb happy Al-Umma brand of secularists were unheard of in those days of Dhandams and Kamandalams for the former were all creations of a highly patriotic, revolutionary social reformer called Karunanidhi.

Sriperumbudur, which till May 21 was hailed as the abode of Ramanuja is now the cemetery of a gentle soul called Rajiv, whose blood drenched that land thanks to the reckless ease with which a great self-proclaimed 'social reformer' allowed bomb happy terrorists to play havoc. Indeed, it is difficult to match the current recipient in social reform, for there can be only few practitioners for his brand of service to the nation which had on earlier occasions only been recognised through the invocation of Article 356!

R.M. Veerappan can now think up a few more awards, in the same vein. Having honoured the uncle it would be unfair to leave out the loyal nephew who could be given the Sun award. The son ofcourse has already been awarded the Mayorship. The peace prize could go to Basha of Al-Umma while the Hoarding King award could go to our eminent Minister for power cuts, Veerasamy. The Looker awards can go to top cops who just look on while criminals go scot free.

For the brigand friendly magazine editors there is always the Mag-say-say award for repeating what ever brigands say. And all those who have not been given any specific award could be presented with the coveted Kalaimamani awards, en masse.

Grave sins of Congress are driving India to doom!

August 13, 2010

Shravan Shuddha Trutiya, Kaliyug Varsha 5112

Highest sins of the Congress which is taking the country to Hell and of all political parties who are doing nothing about it but just letting that happen !

India and Hindus have suffered enormous and irreparable damage during the 125 years of history of the Congress owing to the terrible mistakes and sins committed by the party. Most of the political parties have been just watching indifferently these unpardonable sins with the attitude like ‘Dhrutarashtra – Gandhari’ and therefore, we no more want the charade of democratic rule. We need ‘Divine Rule’ which will treat the citizens like in a patriarchal family. We are publishing a list of the highest sins committed by the Congress everyday so that everybody gets ready to bring in such ideal rule.

Sin 103 - Sin related to appeasement of separatist Muslims

13 August 2010

The pro-Muslim Congress rulers at the Centre, who are trying to appease anti-national separatists from Jammu and Kashmir for the past two decades instead of taking stringent action against them and trying to hold discussions for peace with them, are in fact, taking this country to further partition.

Sin 102 - Sin related to being indifferent to Hindus owing to love for Muslims

12 August 2010

In the year 1947 when Pakistan was created after partition, there were 300 Hindu temples in Pakistan. Presently, there are only 36 temples remaining in Pakistan. The above information has been published on the website of metransparent.com. It has been mentioned on this website that ‘out of the remaining 36 temples in Pakistan, many temples are in a very dilapidated condition and if those are not properly renovated, even they would be destroyed. Pakistan does not grant permission to local Hindus for maintenance of these temples. In 1992 when Babri Masjid was demolished in India, Muslims destroyed 200 temples in Pakistan. The 20 lakhs of Hindus now living in Pakistan are constantly threatened by Muslims and they have to tolerate everything without uttering a word.’

Sin 101 - Sin related to appeasement of Muslims

11 August 2010

‘Muslims kill Hindus by way of ‘jihad’; take out ‘fatwas’ to convert Hindu girls; declare that they would not hoist National Flag; will not say ‘Vande Mataram’; but the Congress Government keeps quiet and takes no action against such anti-national and anti-Dharma people. Whereas Varun Gandhi of BJP made some strong statements regarding Hinduism and the Congress Government immediately became active. Election Commission issued a notice to him and the mass media started his defamation.’

Sin 100 - Sin related to suppression of pro-Hindu organizations

10 August 2010

The Congress imposed a ban on RSS after assassination of Gandhi. The then newspapers ‘Crisis’ and ‘Karmayogi’ published from Prayag, so also ‘Dainik Bharat’ published from Pune and Nagpur had to face suppression by the Congress Government for their extending support to the ‘Satyagrah (passive political resistance)’ drive started by RSS. These newspapers, however, continued to present the just side of RSS by strongly opposing the Government

Sin 99 - Sin related to appeasement of Muslims

9 August 2010

In a function organized by Jamat-e-Ulma, the President of UPA Government, Sonia Gandhi said, “The principles of Jamat-e-Ulema Hind and Congress are similar. ‘Ulema Hind’ and ‘Congress’ had only fought for freedom of this country.” The statement was made in a program while addressing the citizens which resulted in insulting feelings of 85% of the citizens of this country.

Sin 98 - Sin related to appeasement of Muslims

8 August 2010

Pakistan never paid a few billions of rupees due to Hindu refugees. India gave Rs.300 crores to England that were supposed to be paid by Pakistan. Pakistan has still not returned that money to India. We are, however, shamelessly showing this amount under ‘Receivables’ in our budgetary provisions.

Sin 97 - Sin related to encouraging dissident thinking

7 August 2010

Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi kept mum on the disintegrating demand made in the year 2009, by the Finance Minister Tariq Ahmad in Congress-led Jammu and Kashmir Government, for a separate currency for that State which is different from the one used all over India.

Sin 96 - Sin related to extreme appeasement of Muslims

6 August 2010

Anti-national governance of the Congress, which gives citizenship to ‘infiltrating Muslims with ‘jihadi’ mentality; but bans Indians from settling in Jammu and Kashmir !

Sin 95 - Sin with regard to inaction against ‘jihadi’ terrorism and let it spread everywhere in the country

5 August 2010

The Congress Government, which is certifying that madarasas are not terrorists centres but the centres for social service and thus encouraging terrorism, is on the other hand, shamelessly describing that despite ban on ‘SIMI’, how there is increase in its terrorists activities.

Sin 94 - Sin with regard to inaction against ‘jihadi’ terrorism and let it spread everywhere in the country

4 August 2010

According to the Government led by Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, taking stringent action against terrorism means to hurt Muslims; therefore, after coming into power, he drastically cut down the budgetary provision towards modernization of Police Department and Secret Agencies; cancelled Acts like ‘POTA’ which resulted in strengthening of terrorism and demoralization of security agencies.

Sin 93 - Sin related to extreme appeasement of minorities

3 August 2010

When Rajiv Gandhi had gone to Nagaland, where Christians are in majority, he made an anti-national declaration of establishing a ‘Christian State’ there, for acquiring power.

Sin 92 - Sin related insult of great national heroes

2 August 2010

A program was held to celebrate centenary of formation of the Congress Party in the year 1985. A 350 pages book edited by Dr. Rafiq Zakaria was released on the occasion glorifying the Party. There was an article on cruel Akbar praising his regime; but there was no mention of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in this book.

Sin 91 - Sin related to appeasement of minorities

1 August 2010

The National Minority Commission took note of attack on Christians in Orissa; but paid no heed to conversion of and attacks on Hindus.

Sin 90

31 July 2010

Fanatic Congress (Indian Muslim League) Government squanders billions of rupees of Hindus on madarasas, Urdu newspapers, news agencies and TV channels to encourage ‘Urdu’ language which is spoken only by Muslims; but treats ‘Sanskrut’ as a lifeless language.

1. The Congress-led Government at the Centre has provided Rs. 543 crores till the year 2013 for encouraging Urdu TV as it is a language of Muslims. Hindus are in majority in India and pay taxes to the Government; but this money is used by the Congress Government on mosques, madarasas, Haj pilgrimage and now to encourage Urdu language.

2. The Central and State Governments have been already giving financial aid to Urdu periodicals.

3. The Government pays from its coffers, major part of the expenses incurred on the news agencies run by Urdu periodicals.

4. The Uttar Pradesh State Government established ‘Azamgad Urdu University’ for propagation of Urdu language, about a year and a half ago, from the Government coffers.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin 89 - Sin committed with regard to suppression of Hindus

31 July 2010

The Congress Government decided against ‘Vande Mataram’ to be the national song because there is praise of Goddess Sree Durga.

Sin 88 - Sin committed with regard to suppression of Hindus

30 July 2010

Renovation of Somnath Temple was undertaken with the initiative of the then Central Home Minister Vallabhbhai Patel. Nehru issued an order that the President Dr. Rajendra Prasad should not attend the program held in that respect.

Sin 87 - Sin committed with regard to distortion history

29 July 2010

National Committee for Educational Research and Training (NCERT), which is under the control of the Central Government, has referred to revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev etc. as terrorists in its text book.

Sin 86 - Sin committed with regard to distortion history

28 July 2010

National Committee for Educational Research and Training (NCERT) under control of the Central Government has devoted 60 pages to the cruel Mughal invaders in the history text book of 7th standard and inimitable mission accomplished by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj has been mentioned in just six lines. There is no picture of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj published along with the information on him.

Sin 85 - Sin with regard to suppression of true glorious history of great national heroes!

26 July 2010

The then Congress Government issued an order that ‘The lesson on Afzal Khan should not be taught in Mumbai State.’ With such order, the Congress showed that they were more concerned about cruel Afzal Khan than Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the same tradition is being carried on even now by the Congress.

Sin 84 - Sin with regard to not taking prompt action against terrorism and let it spread everywhere in the country !

24 July 2010

In the year 1983, movement against infiltration was going on in Assam when the then Congress Prime Minister Indira Gandhi implemented I.M.D.T (Illegal Migrants Determination Tribunal) Act. After implementation of this Act, it became the responsibility of the complainant patriotic citizen to prove the non-citizenship of the suspect. The Act turned the lawful complainant citizen into an accused; this was the extremity of power-hungry Congress’ politics to play with the security of this country.

Sin 83 - Sin with regard to not taking prompt action against terrorism and let it spread everywhere in the country !

23 July 2010

When the Congress realized that Muslims were against anti-terrorists Act, POTA, the Act was revoked as soon as it came to power in the year 2004. The Congress knew that the infiltrators, those who do not provide alimony to divorced wives and terrorists belong to certain ‘religion’ and it bent even the other laws. Even today, when the country is under constant attacks by terrorists, the Congress Government feels that passing anti-terrorists Act is like passing an Act against minorities.

Sin 82 - Sin with regard to not taking prompt action against terrorism and let it spread everywhere in the country !

22 July 2010

Mohammad Afzal, involved in terrorist attack on the Parliament, has been sentenced to death by the Supreme Court but the Congress Government has not executed him in the last 5 years.

Sin 81 - Sin with regard to not taking prompt action against terrorism and let it spread everywhere in the country !

21 July 2010

The Congress created a farce of kidnapping Rubia Sayid, the daughter of Mufti Mohammad Sayid, the then Central Home Minister (for States) and released 3 terrorists. Do not be surprised if the Congress Government releases terrorist Mohammad Afzal and other leaders of SIMI involved in various bomb blast cases by once again creating a farce of someone’s kidnapping.

Sin 80 - Sin with regard to not taking prompt action against terrorism and let it spread everywhere in the country !

20 July 2010

The Congress Government has not found any concrete solution despite so many anti-national incidents have taken place like bomb blasts causing loss to the nation and of life resulting in thousands of innocent people losing their life; therefore, India is known as a country where bomb blasts take place as if bursting of crackers. This has increased the confidence of Pakistani terrorists so much that now they directly attack India.

Sin 79 - Sin with regard to not taking prompt action against terrorism and let it spread everywhere in the country !

19 July 2010

The Congress Government is, with the desire of getting Muslim votes, letting Muslims from Bangla Desh live in India happily. They are being issued ration cards. The Congress Government allowed ‘Bangla Deshis’ to stay in Delhi as ‘guests’. The High Court asked for an explanation from the Central Government and Delhi Administration in this context; but the power-hungry Congress Government insulted even the High Court!

Sin 78 - Sin with regard to suppression of Indian languages

18 July 2010

The Sachhar Committee, formed to take the country to dooms, recommended in the year 2006 that Urdu language should be extended encouragement and support; after which the Congress-led Central Government provided Rs.550 crores to Urdu TV channels for the next 5 years. The periodicals in Urdu and news agencies are already receiving financial grants from the Central and State governments. In the year 2005, ‘Azamgad Urdu University’ was established out of the Government money. It is an unpardonable crime of the fanatic Congress Government to splurge crores of rupees of Hindus on madarasas, Urdu newspapers, news houses and TV channels to encourage Urdu.

Sin 77 - Sin with regard to suppression of Indian languages

17 July 2010

The Congress regime, which has been in power for longest period since independence, made its first attack on Hindu culture by neglecting the ‘Sattvik Dev-bhasha Sanskrut’. Then it criticized the Holy Scriptures in ‘Sanskrut’, branded them as they belonged to only Brahmins and tried to denigrate and ridicule them by burning the scriptures. The Congress Government is now trying to eliminate even Marathi language which is the next ‘Sattvik’ language after ‘Sanskrut’ by forcing education in English medium, on the citizens. The Congress regime, thus, not only smothered the ‘Sanskrut’ language, Holy Scriptures and Marathi language but also took out the life from them.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin 76 - Sin with regard to suppression of Indian languages

16 July 2010

‘Hindi’ cannot be called as ‘National language’ despite 63 years of independence due to the ‘Anglicized’ policies of the Congress Government because in the Government judiciary and administrative fields, English is the main spoken language. English language controls even the fields like higher education, science and technology. The Congress promoted use of English language in all fields and has pushed citizens in permanent mental bondage.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin 75 - Sin with regard to harm caused to society

15 July 2010

Congress has enjoyed power in this country for more than 50 years but 26 % of the population is still living below the poverty line and 40% of the population remains starved; farmers are not happy. In the last 10 years, 15000 farmers committed suicide due to insolvency!

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin 74 - Sin with regard to harm caused to society

14 July 2010

The Congress Government, which gave water of the ‘Five Rivers’ to Pakistan for free, created water problem in this country. The main cities in India, where population is more than a million, get water only for few hours whereas at some places, no water is provided. People have to fight for water and at some places, there is fight over getting water. This observation has been made by the United Nations in their report pointing a finger at the indifference of the Congress Government.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin 73 - Sin with regard to population

13 July 2010

During the discussions held in the year 1951 on the national development plan, J. R. D. Tata had insisted that the population of the country should be kept under control. He even warned Nehru that the success achieved on all fronts like food, clothing, housing, education, employment and health would be wiped out by increasing population. On which Nehru had immediately said, “How can you say such thing? Population is our strength!” There has been no change in the mentality of the Congress even today and the population has been alarmingly increasing.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin 72 - Sin with regard to population

12 July 2010

The Supreme Court directed the Government to form a policy for family planning; but none of the vote-hungry parties took any step towards the same. In the year 1977, Congress lost the elections after implementing the family planning policy for one year. All parties, therefore, discarded the family planning policy in the interest of gaining power, sacrificing welfare of the nation.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin 71 - Sin leading to degeneration of democracy

11 July 2010

During its regime of 60 years, Congress inspired awe about Nehru family in improper manner. Even today, we see in many plays or TV serials, a photograph of Nehru or Indira Gandhi is displayed whenever there is a scene of police station. Many new schemes are named after members of the Nehru family, e.g. Maharashtra Government’s ‘Rajiv Gandhi Gatimanata Abhiyan’, ‘Sanjay Gandhi Niradhara Yojana’ etc. Are there no great personalities in this country other than Gandhi – Nehru ?

Sin 70 - Sin leading to degeneration of democracy

10 July 2010

The policies adopted by the Congress have been based on the beliefs of the Gandhi – Nehru dynasty. Congress has always treated Gandhi and Nehru families above the country and has been disloyal to ‘Bharatmata’. Barring the period of six years from 1991 to 1997, the dynasty of Nehru, Indira, Rajiv, Sonia and Rahul and Priyanka has never let the democracy rule this country !

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin 69 - Sin committed by Congress taking nation to decline

9 July 2010

Fake Indian currency notes sponsored by Pakistan are in circulation in this country but the Congress Government did not take any concrete steps to stop their entry and there are, so far, Rupees 6.00 lakh crores in circulation. These currency notes have been brought in India by terrorists putting economy of this country in jeopardy.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin 68 - Sin committed by Congress taking nation to decline

8 July 2010

The seven North-Eastern States, where population of Hindus was more, now have majority population as Christians owing to inactive and indifferent governments belonging to all political parties. The dissident movement thrived in Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland where Christians are in majority as also in Assam where Muslims are in majority. The Congress Government led by Rajiv Gandhi declared in its election manifesto that ‘Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Mizoram’ will be governed as per the philosophy of Bible and not only nurtured the dissidence but Rajiv Gandhi also declared that ‘the demand to have independent State as ‘Gurkhaland’ was not anti-national’, only to secure votes of Bengal and supported such dissidence even there.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin 67 - Sin committed by Congress taking nation to decline

7 July 2010

In the year 1967, naxalism originated in the village called Naxalabari in Bengal. The Congress Government never took any steps to stop it. Within the past 4 decades, it has thrived and spread to 12 States covering 40% part of this country. During this period, there have been thousands of victims of naxalism and it has caused huge damage to the national wealth.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Righteousness parties.

Sin 66 - Sin committed by Congress taking nation to decline

6 July 2010

It is due to the Congress that the country has been facing various distresses like poverty, starvation, malnutrition, addictions, illiteracy, abductions, molestation of women, exploitation, communalism, load- shedding, suicides by farmers, corruption, reservation, immorality, materialism, appeasement of minority, terrorism, naxalism, anarchy, dynasty rule etc.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin No. 65 - Crime committed by Congress taking nation to decline

5 July 2010

The demon of corruption, bribe and filth of favouritism is the gift of Congress Government to this nation. The corruption is there right from the regime of Nehru. Influential industrialists were supporting and funding Congress for favours in return in their business ventures. During the war with China, the Minister for Defence in Nehru Government took corruption to a new height. ‘Corruption exists everywhere in the world’ was the statement made by Indira Gandhi giving it political patronage. It is a known fact that the period of emergency i.e. ‘the regime of Sanjay Gandhi’, corruption was at its peak. Rajiv Gandhi had to resign from the post of prime minister for his involvement in Bofors scam; while crores of rupees were offered by Narasimh Rao to the MPs of ZMM to remain in power. Today, taking bribe has become a protocol right from the grass root level like a peon in Gram-panchayat to an officer in Prime Minister’s office and Congress is to be solely blamed for this sin.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin 64 - Sin committed by Congress taking nation to decline

4 July 2010

Congress Government created rift among people from various castes and creeds by adopting the policy of reservation sacrificing caliber rather than bringing the nation together after independence. Congressmen taught Hindus that ‘Welfare of castes is more important than the welfare of the country’. The adverse effect of the said policy is that every community insists for inclusion of their caste in the Backward class Schedule. It has been 50 years since reservation policy came into effect. During this period of 50 years, none of the communities have declared that they do not want facility of reservation as they have now progressed. The country was divided into various castes and the progress of the country was also stalled.

Sin No. 63 - Sin committed by Congress doing extreme injustice to Hindus

3 July 2010

On the authorized website of the Central Government, the Congress Government had sent 16 greetings for Christians on the occasion of Christmas and New Year and 9 greetings for Muslims on the occasion of ‘Idd’; but not a single greetings was sent to Hindus during their festivals although they celebrate many festivals and are majority in this country.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin No. 62 - Sin committed by Congress doing extreme injustice to Hindus

2 July 2010

Temples have the freedom to use their funds for religious activities; but the Congress Government started the practice of taking over management of the temples and using the funds for welfare of Muslims and Christians. The Congress Government appointed Abdul Rehman Antulay as a trustee on Siddhivinayak Temple after taking over its management. Will any Hindu be appointed a trustee on a mosque or a madarasa or a church?

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin No. 61 - Sin committed by Congress doing extreme injustice to Hindus

1 July 2010

Congress committed the sin of breaking 24% of the seventeen and a half lakh years old bridge, which was constructed by Prabhu Sree Ramachandra with the help of monkeys near Rameswaram in the State of Tamil Nadu, to enter (Sri) Lanka, Ravana’s kingdom.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin No. 60 - Sin committed by Congress doing extreme injustice to Hindus

30 June 2010

Gandhi used to play ‘Ram-dhun’ whole day; but no Hindu came to know when he brought Allah to be with Ishwar, Rahim to sit with Rama and Karim with Krushna. Gandhi did not believe in ‘Dasharathi’ Rama as Hindus are under such impression; but he used to say that ‘Rama, who was the son of Dasharath – referred to as the King of Ayodhya – is not my Rama. I do not know whether Rama as perceived by me, existed on this earth.’ The same sordidness is imbibed in the Congress Government at the Centre which says, ‘We have nothing to do with Rama’ and therefore, the Congress committed the sin of stating in the Court on oath, in the year 2007 that ‘Rama is an imaginary character’.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin No. 59 - Sin committed by Congress doing extreme injustice to Hindus

29 June 2010

Somnath Temple was re-constructed only due to the efforts of Vallabhbhai Patel and Dr. Rajendraprasad after independence. Nehru issued a ‘futwa’ that Dr. Rajendra Prasad should not attend the program related to re-construction of the temple. Kashi and Mathura pilgrimage places are not fully accessible to Hindus even today. We cannot construct Ram-mandir at Ayodhya, in the way we want, even today. In the year 1949, after independence, Congress put Sreeram, under lock and key, at Ayodhya. In the year 1992, Hindus destroyed the ‘memorial’ of Babar; but Congress did not give up its attempts and at the first opportunity, started creating obstacles in construction of big ‘Ram-mandir’ at the birth-place of Sreeram.

People have to suffer for these sins as they elect such anti-national, anti-Dharma parties.

Sin No. 58 - Sin committed by Congress doing extreme injustice to Hindus

28 June 2010

Gandhi opposed the decision taken by the Central Ministry to restore Somnath Temple in Gujarat with the Government funds; but in the year 1948, he pressurized Nehru and Sardar Patel to repair mosques in this country from the exchequer of Delhi Government.

Sin No. 57 - Sin committed by Congress going to extreme in appeasing non – Hindus

27 June 2010

Christians converting Hindus in Kandhamal were promised protection by the Congress Government. The Congress, which never extended any grant for Hindu pilgrimages, declared grant for Christians for their pilgrimage to Jerusalem like for ‘Haj’ to Muslims.

Sin No. 56 - Sin committed by Congress in going to extreme in appeasing non – Hindus

26 June 2010

In India, where Hindus are in majority, many pro-Hindus have been arrested for trivial reasons on number of occasions. In independent India, devout Hindu Swatantryaveer Savarkar was arrested by Nehru on two occasions. The highest ‘Dharmaguru’ of Hindus, Shankaracharya was arrested in a very insulting manner during Diwali under some so-called allegation and was sent to prison; but the Congress has never dared to arrest ‘Shahi Imam’ Ahmad Bukhari of ‘Jama Masjid’ who had supported partition of India and has many offences registered against his name.

Sin No. 55 - Sin committed by Congress in going to extreme in appeasing non – Hindus

25 June 2010

Instead of stringently punishing painter M F Husain for drawing nude and indecent paintings of Bharatmata and Hindu Deities to hurt religious sentiments of patriotic Hindus, he was felicitated with ‘Padma’ awards referring him as ‘pride’ of India. This led to his becoming insolent to commit one more sin by drawing an offensive painting wherein he has shown ‘Bharatmata’ being raped.

Sin No. 54 - Sin committed by Congress in going to extreme in appeasing non – Hindus

24 June 2010

The number of Muslims involved in crime is more. Muslim community is involved in various illegal activities in this country, e.g. stashing arms, to trouble Hindus and start rioting, to burn houses of Hindus, to tease Hindu women and to slaughter cows etc; but the vote - greedy pro-Muslim Congress Government does not take any action against Muslims; as such they are becoming more insolent day by day.

Sin No. 53 - Sin committed by Congress in going to extreme in appeasing non – Hindus

23 June 2010

In the country where Hindus are in majority, the money paid by Hindus by way of taxes is being squandered by the Congress Government on mosques, madarasas, ‘Haj’ pilgrimage and now to encourage Urdu language. Are Hindus aware of this?

Sin No. 52 - Sin committed by Congress in going to extreme in appeasing non – Hindus

22 June 2010

In none of the 52 Islamic countries, the Government extends facilities for ‘Haj’ pilgrimage. Pakistan Court had, in fact, ordered a ban on extending such facilities to the ‘Haj’ pilgrims; even then the demon of Haj grants was created by the then Congress Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao and the tradition of wasting millions of rupees on Muslims was started. The Congress Government that grants concessions to the ‘Haj’ pilgrims, recovers tax from Hindu pilgrims going on various pilgrimages like Amaranath, Shabrimalai and Kailas Mansarovar which is an unpardonable crime of the Congress!

Sin No. 51 - Sin committed by Congress in going to extreme in appeasing non – Hindus

21 June 2010

It can be observed when we take a review of the past 62 years of the Congress regime, that the Congress rulers have crossed all the limits of appeasement of Muslims. The Mughal kings seem to have taken re-birth in India in the form of Congressmen; else why would they have so much of love for the Muslims? Gandhi’s Congress pampered ‘Khilafat Movement’ taking them in lap! Nehru- Indira - Rajiv’s Congress took them in their arms! Sonia – Manmohan Singh’s Congress has taken them on their shoulders through the report of Sacchar Committeee and making a statement that ‘Muslims have the first right to this Nation’! Hindus must now become alert before the Congress takes Muslims on its head !

Sin No. 50 - Sin committed by Congress in going to extreme in appeasing non – Hindus

20 June 2010

‘A drunkard knows that drinking is harmful; but he is so much addicted to it that it is difficult for him to give it up. Likewise, even after partition, the Congress did not feel that change needs to be brought in the manner of bringing Hindu – Muslims together. The Congress has sustained for the last 63 years by creating an atmosphere that even in independent India injustice is meted out to Muslims in various manner and for which stubbornness of Hindus is responsible !’

Sin No. 49 - Sin committed by Congress in going to extreme in appeasing non – Hindus

19 June 2010

Before and after partition, the Muslims had complete freedom to riot during 63 years of the Congress regime. The right to fight back was taken away from Hindus. Since it is the principle of Muslims to spread Islam through the riots, they start rioting and Congress does not stop them. During the ‘Mopla Revolt’ and terrible riots by Muslims before and after partition, the Congress turned Muslims into demons and Hindus as their prey. It was and is the policy of the Congress that ‘Muslims are staunch followers of their religion and they act as per the guidance of ‘Quran’; therefore, if they riot, we must forgive them!’

Sin No. 48 - Sins committed by Congress exhibiting its hatred towards revolutionaries and great national heroes

18 June 2010

Congress Government, which issued an order after independence that ‘The lesson related to Afzal Khan’s slaying should not be taught in schools in Mumbai State’, later, started teaching distorted history to students through NCERT and other Government curriculums that ‘Shivaji Maharaj killed Afzal Khan’ and committed treachery to Shiv Chhatrapati .

Sin No. 47 - Sins committed by Congress exhibiting its hatred towards revolutionaries and great national heroes

17 June 2010

After independence, the Congress committed unpardonable sin of distorting brave and glorious history of Hindus! In the text books published by Congress promoted NCERT, the revolutionaries like Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev etc. have been referred as extremists and the Congress has committed the sin of creating hatred against them in future generations.

Even today, persons who must be about 10 years old at the time of our country gaining independence, are getting pension as freedom-fighters; but Swatantryaveer Savarkar had to wait till the fag end of his life to get such pension !

Sin No. 45 - Sins committed by Congress exhibiting its hatred towards revolutionaries and great national heroes

15 June 2010

In independent India, Swa. Savarkar was twice put behind bars by the Congress. He was imprisoned for more than a year under the accusation of killing of Gandhi. In the year 1950 when Nehru and Pakistani Prime Minister Liyaqat Ali were to meet in Delhi, Congress kept Savarkar in Belgaum jail for more than 100 days although Savarkar was 68 years and sick in Mumbai. This suppression was not only of Swa. Savarkar but of all Hindus.

14 June 2010

After the second world war began, within 2-3 years, 4 to 5 lakhs of Hindu young men joined the army due to the efforts put in by Swatantryaveer Savarkar; before which the percentage of Muslims and Hindus in the British Army was 65:35. This percentage became 35:65 owing to the efforts of Swa. Savarkar. Therefore, after India became independent when Pakistan immediately attacked India, this army helped to fight against Pakistan. Swa. Savarkar was, however, picked on for encouraging Hindus to join army by calling him ‘British Agent’ and ‘Recruit-veer’

Gandhi and Nehru’s Congress always hated intense patriot Netaji Subhashchandra Bose. Netaji was the President of the Congress but Gandhi- Nehru ousted him. Subhashchandra Bose tried to enter India with his ‘Azad Hind Army’ built with the help of Japan when Nehru said, “If Subhash put his foot on the Indian soil with his army, I will be the first one to stand against him with a sword in my hand.”

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj slew Afzal Khan at the foot of Pratapgad on 10th November 1659. Every year ‘Shivpratap Day’ is celebrated by Satara District Administration to commemorate the incident but the government guests do not refer to the historic event of slaying of Afzal Khan and do not allow display of the picture on Pratapgad depicting the event on this occasion. Not only that but the Congress Government has now decided that displaying this picture of Afzal Khan any where will be treated as an offence. Considering the downfall of the Congress, it is likely that in future, it may label Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as an offender for killing Afzal Khan and instead of celebrating ‘Shivpratap Day’, may celebrate birth anniversary of Afzal Khan.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj who squashed 5 emperors to establish ‘Hindvi Swaraj’ and revive Hindu Dharma was scorned by Gandhi by calling him as ‘a patriot who had lost his way’ and by Nehru as ‘a dacoit’.

During the regime of Pundit Nehru, no recognition was given to the great sons of this land who sacrificed their life in freedom fight; their life history was not included in education field nor were their photographs or memorials were offered due honour. Even the photographs of the great sons of this country like Netaji Subhashchandra Bose, Veer Savarkar, Chandrashekhar Azad, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev etc. who sacrificed their life for Bharatmata had no place in any of the Government offices.

The great revolutionaries like Sardar Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev who adopted the path of ‘armed revolt’ raising slogan of ‘Inquilab Zindabad’ were sentenced to death by the British. It was possible for Gandhi’s Congress to get the sentence cancelled; but no efforts were made in that direction.

Sin No. 38 - Sins committed by Congress while passing various laws

8 June 2010

The Congress Government neglected the tribal people living in inaccessible remote areas and did not take care of their basic requirements like food, clothing and shelter. They were converted by the Christian missionaries using strength, by harassment, scheming and luring them. 8,00,000 Hindus are getting converted every year. The Congress Government did not pass a law prohibiting conversions although Hindus made repeated demand to prevent such conversions. In fact to facilitate the Christian missionaries to spread their religion, the Congress added controversial word viz. ‘propagation’ in the Indian Constitution.

Sin No. 37 - Saints and religious leaders demanding ban on cow-slaughter were beaten up by Nehru

7 June 2010

Nehru Government arrested Karpatreswami in connection with agitations against cow-slaughter and put hundreds of agitating volunteers behind bar. Many saints and religious leaders who were sitting outside the bungalow of Nehru observing hunger strike in connection with ban on cow-slaughter, were pulled with their hair and kicked and thrown on the road by Pundit Nehru and his sister Vijayalakshmi. During Nehru Government, Shankaracharya Niranjan Dev Teertha of Jagannathpuri, Shankaracharya Swarupanand of Jyotirmath and Prabhudatta Brahmachari were suddenly arrested without giving them any notice.

Sin No. 36 - Congress that built abattoirs instead of passing law prohibiting cow-slaughter

6 June 2010

During the regime of Indira Gandhi as the Prime Minister, Shankaracharya Niranjan Dev Teertha of Jagannathpuri went on hunger strike. His hunger strike continued for 54 days which had enraged the whole nation. Indira Gandhi promised to pass an Act banning cow-slaughter and the Government set up a committee appointing Shankaracharya Niranjan Dev Teertha of Jagannathpuri and other Hindu representatives on this committee. Three meetings were held and it seemed to the citizens that steps were being taken for bringing ban on cow-slaughter; but all of a sudden, shrewd Indira Gandhi cancelled the committee thus packing up the proposal of ban on cow-slaughter. On the contrary, Indira Gandhi’s Congress Government extended assistance to build abattoir at Deonar for cow-slaughter and passed the plans to build two more abattoirs in Hindustan.

Sin No. 35 - Sins committed by Congress while enacting various laws

5 June 2010

In 1954, Jawaharlal Nehru had said that ‘Time has not yet come to pass equal civic rights Act’. More than 46 years have passed since Nehru making such statement; but none of the parties’ including the Congress government, has taken steps to pass this Act. The Supreme Court had directed the then Narasimha Rao Government on 10.5.1995 to pass equal civic rights Act in this country. Despite the orders of the Supreme Court, the power-hungry Congress and other parties’ governments did not pass such Act to appease Muslims. If wearing uniform is made compulsory for all school children, why should there not be an uniform law for all citizens?

Sin No. 34 - Sins committed by Congress while enacting various laws

4 June 2010

In the year 1955, a very unlawful and sinful Act was passed under the title ‘Hindu Code Bill’. Although there was not an iota of correlation between Hinduism and this Act, Nehru named it as Hindu. One of the MPs, Smt. Subhadra Joshi passed very shocking comments in support of the said notorious Act during the discussions that ‘Hindu marriage is like a prostitution trade.’ Since under the guidance of Nehru, everyone in Congress had undergone degeneration, nobody even protested against such comments.

Sin No. 33 - Sins committed by Congress during various wars

3 June 2010

In the war fought in the year 1971, India created Bangla Desh at the cost of sacrificing 4000 soldiers; but Indira Gandhi was deceived by the ‘Shimla Agreement’. Congress Government lost the golden opportunity of to solve Kashmir problem. India returned 93000 prisoners of war to Pakistan so also land won in the war; but Pakistan has not returned India’s 100 prisoners of war even now. They are still rotting in the Pakistani jails. None of the Congress Governments has so far made any effort towards their release.

In the war against Pakistan fought in the year 1965 on the issue of ‘Kaccha Desert’, India had won 5000 sq. kms. of land sacrificing 3200 of her soldiers; but the Congress Government returned the same to Pakistan by entering into ‘Tashkent Agreement’.

Sin No. 31 - Sins committed by Congress in different wars fought so far

Nehru, who used to be busy in daydreaming, gave a call of ‘Hindi – Chini Bhai Bhai’ although China was an enemy of India and China, back-stabbing India, wedged a war against India!

In Indo-China war fought in the year 1962, Around 3200 Indian soldiers died and China grabbed nearly 100000 sq. kms. of Indian land which is still under its control.

Jammu-Kashmir (J & K) has population of ten millions and get aid of Rs.2400 millions i.e. Rs.24000/- per head; but the aid given to other States is not even 5% of what is given to J&K. The assistance provided to J &K by the Central Government is 7-10% more than what other States receive because there are Muslims in majority in that State. The Congress Government is pouring money in J & K and in a way levying a type of ‘Jizia’ tax on Hindus as it is the money paid by Hindus by way of taxes on their earnings after putting lot of hard work.

Sin No. 29 - Sins committed by Congress with reference to Kashmir

Sin No. 28 - Sins committed by Congress with reference to Kashmir

29 May 2010

The Congress Government did not provide protection to Kashmiri Hindus in the year 1990 when the Muslim fanaticism had crossed all the limits; as a result, 400000 Kashmiri Hindus had to leave their own land. Their apple orchards, farms where they used to grow ‘Basmati’ rice, their houses and shops have been grabbed by Muslims and the Congress Government has not given any compensation to them so far. These 400000 Hindus are now leading life of a refugee in their own country and have been facing lot of hardships. In the refugee camps erected for them 20 years back, no electricity, water, cleanliness, facility to get education or avenue to earn own living have been provided by governments of any of the parties. In fact, Kashmiri Hindus have not been rehabilitated in Kashmir even after all these years.

Sin No. 27 - Sins committed by Congress with reference to Kashmir

28 May 2010

The article 370 initially adopted on temporary basis for Jammu and Kashmir was made permanent by the power-hungry Congress instead of discarding the same after some time. This article was made applicable to even States like Nagaland, Mizoram and few other States. Kashmir is an integral part of India but even the President of India cannot buy any property in Kashmir. What kind of integration is this? Kashmir is a place where Muslims are in majority and therefore, the Congress has made such special Constitutional provision.

Sin No. 26 - Sins committed by Congress with reference to Kashmir

Congress did not defend Kashmir from Pakistani militants and raised question of Kashmir in United Nations. It gifted one third of Kashmir to Pakistan and made another partition of India after partition of 1947.

Sin No. 25 - Sins committed by Congress with relation to Kashmir !

26 May 2010

Just approximately 3 months after the creation of Pakistan, Pakistan attacks Kashmir with all its military might. Hari Singh, the King of Kashmir requests Nehru for help. Nehru put forth a precondition namely ‘If you hand over the reins of Kashmir to Sheikh Abdullah, only then I will provide help.’ Before the Indian army which had gone to help in securing Kashmir, could secure Kashmir fully Nehru orders the army to stop all operations. Nehru himself handed over a large part of Kashmir to Pakistan and handed over Kashmir, a Hindu kingdom, to Abdullah in order to please Muslims. The wound inflicted on Kashmir has been kept bleeding continuously. King Hari Singh did not get even a single penny from Nehru !

Sin No. 24 - Sins committed by Congress in the aftermath of Gandhi’s killing !

25 May 2010

In relation to Gandhi killing, on the instructions of Nehru, Sarsanchalak Pujya Golvalkar Guruji was imprisoned without any reason for 18 months. In relation to Gandhi killing Nehru banned Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for 18 months and arrested seventeen thousand swayamsevaks and subjected them to torture. All over the country there were demonstrations against this injustice; on the instructions from Nehru the police severely lathi charged and beat thousands of swayamsevaks. A number of swayamsevaks died as a result of this police action. To explain the non-involvement of RSS and its explanation Pujya Golvalkar Guruji requested a meeting with Nehru repeatedly. All requests were always denied and Pujya Guruji was repeatedly insulted !

Sin N0. 23 - Sins committed by Congress in the aftermath of Gandhi’s killing !

24 May 2010

Veer Savarkar, who devoted his life to gain independence and who suffered a punishment in the Black waters of Andaman, was forcibly imprisoned for one year by the government led by Nehru after accusing him of being involved in the assassination of Gandhi. The Nehru government said in court that Veer Savarkar was either responsible for the assassination of Gandhi or he had full knowledge of this act forehand. Even after such accusations, the court decided and declared that Veer Savarkar was not involved in the assassination of Gandhi and set him free. Unfortunately even today Congressmen object to the release of Veer Savarkar from the case related to Gandhi’s assassination and talk suspiciously; is this not Contempt of Court ?

Sin No. 22 - Sins committed by Congress in the aftermath of Gandhi’s killing !

‘Killing of innocent Brahmins after the death of Gandhi, killing of Sikhs after the death of Indira Gandhi, these killings were carried out on the suggestions of Congress leaders!’

Sin No. 21 - Sins committed by Congress after Partition

22 May 2010

The freedom fight of Goa was going on even before the year 1947; but Congress did not pay attention. Nehru said that Goa was a pimple on the cheek of India. Once India gets freedom, it would not take much time to squash that pimple. The Portuguese Government used to oppress the contingents of agitators being sent by India since the year 1954 even then the Congress in power at the Centre remained indifferent. Finally on 19th September 1961, Goa was freed through an army revolution. The Congress made the Indians wait for 14 years for squashing the pimple of Goa as said by Nehru and unnecessarily increased bondage of Goans.

Sin No. 20 - Sins committed by Congress after Partition

21 May 2010

After partition, Congress conferred higher posts to those Muslims who were loyal to Pakistan. The former Governor of Maharashtra Ali Yavar Jung was an advocate of Nizam, his loyalty was with Nizam and he was given the post of Governor of Maharashtra! Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad was the first Education Minister of India who returned to India with a dream of ‘Pan Islam’ from Arab countries. He wanted all of Bharat to become Pakistan and therefore, he was against creation of Pakistan. Barrister Asaf Ali was made an ambassador in USA who wrote wrong address and sent the shipment of weapons to Karachi, Pakistan. It was Indian money, Indian ambassador, sending weapons to Pakistan i.e. loyalty to Pakistan. How terrible was all these things?

Sin No. 19 - Sins committed by Congress after Partition

20 May 2010

Muslims do not address the land of this country as ‘mother’ and in the song ‘Vande Mataram’, tribute is paid to Goddess Durga; therefore, the Congress Government decided that ‘Vande Mataram’ would not be our the national song. The Congress omitted the praise of Goddess Durga from the song giving it the status of second national song and the song praising the British King as India’s ‘Adhinayak and Bhagyavidhata’ i.e. ‘Jan Gan Man’ became the national song!

Sin No. 18 - Sins committed by Congress after Partition

19 May 2010

In ‘Chittagong Hill Tract (CHT)’ comprising of 13000 sq. km. area in Bengal, 98% of the people were Buddhists, Hindus and Christians.

In the year 1947, those people opted to remain with Hindustan. On 16.8.1947, the Partition Officer Radcliffe declared that the said part was allocated to Pakistan without discussing the matter with the local leaders and without giving any reasons. Indian leaders did not object to even this decision. On 20.8.1947, Pakistan sent its army and quashed the opposition.

Sin No. 17 - Sins committed by Congress after Partition

18 May 2010

In the Tharparkar District in Sindh, 94% of the population was Hindu. There, the Partition Officer Radcliffe said that partition of the country could not be done as per the districts; but the demand to mark ‘Silhet’ under Pakistan was immediately agreed to although the Muslims in the area were 51%. The Congress leaders raised no objection against these decisions.

Sin No. 16 - Sins committed by Congress after Partition

17 May 2010

25% of the population of Lahore was Muslim. When Hindus objected to this decision, Radcliffe, the ‘Partition Officer’ asked, “How can Hindustan be given both the cities viz. Kolkata and Lahore?” 38% of land of Punjab was given to 45 % of Hindus (that included even Sikhs) and 62% land was given to 55% of Muslims. The Congress, however, raised no objection to this decision.

Sin No. 15 - Sins committed by Congress after Partition

16 May 2010

Without taking consent of Hindus, Congress committed the sin of creating Pakistan dividing (in fact, making 3 parts) of India and ascended the throne of power.

Sin No. 14 - Sins committed by Congress before Partition

15 May 2010

Congress did grave injustice to Hindus living in Pakistan by deciding about partition of this country. Hindus owned 90% of the land in Pakistan. In cities like Karachi, Lahore, Multan, Peshavar, Rawalpindi, Quetta, Layalpur etc., affluent Hindus had hundreds of palatial houses, lending business, shops, mills, charitable organizations, hospitals, schools, and colleges etc. Punjab University in Lahore was built on 5000 acres of land belonging to a rich Hindu named Gangaram. There was a hospital known as Sir Gangaram Hospital there. The property owned by this family in Lahore was worth 500 millions of rupees. The famous markets like Raja Bazar in Peshawar, Anarkali in Lahore, Saddar in Karachi, Sindh Bazar in Hyderabad, Punjab Bazar in Multan, Hindumal Bazar in Quetta had 95% of shops owned by Hindus. Today, there is not a single Hindu shop. All the jute mills and rice mills in Bangla Desh were owned by Hindus. There too, today nothing belongs to Hindus.

Sin No. 13 - Sins committed by Congress before Partition

14 May 2010

River Sindhu, on the banks of which our culture flourished, where our sages recited ‘Vedrhucha’, was taken away from us due to partition of this country by the Congress. The River Ganga which is always hailed in all our religious ceremonies, one-fifth part of such River went to East Pakistan (Bangla Desh); even River Brahmaputra, that meets River Ganga, became unhappy as she had to flow through Bangla Desh. The birth place of Panini who wrote the grammar of Sanskrut, the language of Gods, ‘Nankana’, the birth place of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikh Sect, went to Pakistan. Lahore, the place established by Luv, the son of Prabhu Ramchandra, city Dhaka which got its name from the Goddess Dhakeshwari, all these too went to Pakistan !

Sin No. 12 - Sins committed by Congress before Partition

13 May 2010

The number of people who died due to the decision of partition taken by the Congress was much higher than the people killed by dictators. The homeless Hindus from Pakistan were not given any protection by the Congress Government, therefore, nearly a million Hindus were killed and fifteen million Hindus became homeless. A train full of Hindu refugees started from Rawalpindi station to come to Delhi; but just after it left the station, Muslim butchers stopped the train, opened every compartment and methodically started destruction. They did not feel anything to pull a child from its mother’s lap or a sister clinging to her brother. They ripped off the legs of small children and banged them; this action was the extremity of brutality. Young girls were dragged out and their legs were tied, one’s left leg and another’s right leg, so that they did not run away. The Hindu women who were abducted till 15th August, were later disrobed and taken out in a procession. Owing to the indifference and inaction of the Congress Government, only in Lahore, there were 900 women, who were disrobed and taken out in a procession by the Muslim beasts.

Sin No. 11 - Sins committed by Congress before Partition

12 May 2010

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar writes in his book titled ‘Pakistan vishayiche vichar (Thoughts about Pakistan)’, ‘If the partition of the country is to be accepted, it should be accepted on the pre-condition of exchange of Hindu – Muslim citizens.’ His invaluable and basic advice was, however, discarded by Nehru’s Congress Government. He declared ‘Bharat’ as a secular country instead of giving it the status of a Hindu Nation. As such, ‘Bharat’ came to be known as the country of mainly followers of 3 religions i.e. Hindu, Muslims and Christians although Hindus were in majority.

Sin No. 10 - Sins committed by Congress at the time of Partition

11 May 2010

Congressmen never waged a war for freedom. Even before partition, Congress leaders were busy in appeasement of Muslims and groveling before the British. They committed the sin of dividing ‘Bharatkhand’ in two (actually 3) parts by creating Pakistan and grabbed the power. On 15.8.1947, only the Congress was celebrating festival of freedom. Everywhere, there were heaps of dead bodies; but the Congress was portraying to the whole nation that they had acquired freedom with their non-violence movement.

Sin No. 9 – Offences of Congress before partition

10 May 2010

On 16th August 1946, Muslim League started oppression of Hindus by undertaking an ‘Action Plan’ at Naukhali in Bengal for creation of Pakistan. The Congress Government led by Nehru did nothing to stop the oppression. In retaliation to the dreadful incidents taking place in Bengal, Hindus from Bihar started destruction of Muslims in number of villages. As Muslims stood at the receiving end, Gandhi talked to Nehru over phone. Nehru rushed to Bihar and threatened to bomb the Hindu areas. He deployed army to protect Muslims !

Sin No. 8 - Offences of Congress before partition

9 May 2010

During the conference held by the Muslim League at Lahore in 1940, a resolution was passed demanding Pakistan. The Congress never realized the ambition of separate power of Muslims and it committed unpardonable sin of partition of ‘Bharatmata’. During the general election of 1945, Congress promised that there would be no partition; but it did not keep its promise.

Sin No. 7 - Offences of Congress before partition

8 May 2010

Barrister Jina complained to the Congress that singing of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’ insulted Muslims and hoisting the ‘tri-colour’ flag of Congress at public places hurt their religious sentiments. The complaint was immediately taken note of by Gandhi and the Congress Working Committee instructed all the regional Committees to ban display of both the things at public places as advised by Gandhi.

Sin No. 6 - Offences of Congress before partition

7 May 2010

Congress had boycotted the census of 1931 and 1941 as there used to be a noting of ‘caste’ in the same. The scheming Muslims took advantage of the situation. At the time of partition, the British earmarked border of the two countries based on the population of Hindus and Muslims as per those censuses and allocated more land to Pakistan !

Sin No. 5 - Offences of Congress before partition

6 May 2010

A convention was held by the Congress at Lahore, in the year 1929, under the presidency of Nehru. That was the first time, the Congress passed a resolution, for complete freedom of Hindustan. During the first 20 years of its formation, the Congress, that was afraid to even utter the word ‘freedom’ in front of the British, slowly started demanding colonial self-government. It took 45 years for Congress to demand complete freedom for ‘Bharat’ since its inception. Such lack of prudence on the part of Congress led to delay of 50 years in acquiring freedom for the country.

Sin No. 4 - Offences of Congress before partition

5 May 2010

From August 1921, the ‘Moplas’ started attacking Hindus in Malabar, Kerala, who were unprepared because of the Congress’ ‘Khilafat’ movement. Hundreds of Hindus were killed, Hindu women were raped even during day time and hundreds of houses were burning for days together. There is no count of the Hindus who were circumcised. Hindus were in no position to retaliate due to Gandhi’s false idea of Hindu-Muslim unity. These atrocities against Hindus went on for 4 months but Congress and Gandhi said “‘Moplas’ acted as per their religion; ‘Moplas’ are valiant” and completely ignored oppressed Hindus!

Sin No. 3 - Offences of Congress before partition

4 May 2010

Owing to the sermons given by the Congress, Hindus got in the habit of being under intimidation of those who refused to bow before ‘Bharatmata’, those who called worshippers of idols of Sree Ram and Sree Krushna as ‘kafirs’, those who used to treat Hindu women as a thing for taking advantage of and those who troubled ‘Gou-mata’. At the time of partition, those who asked Hindus to retaliate against Muslims were termed as maniacs by the Congress. Only the Congress is responsible for committing one of the highest sins of creating such collective impotency among Hindus !

Sin No. 2 - Offences of Congress before partition

3 May 2010

In the year 1919, the Muslims from Hindustan started ‘Khilafat’ movement to enthrone the Khalifa of Turkstan who was deposed by the British after the First World War. The Congress, with Gandhi as its President, took part in that movement although it was in no way connected to the freedom fight of ‘Bharat’ and therefore, the demon of fanatic Muslims bottled by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was let lose once again in Indian politics.

Sin No. 1 - Offences of Congress before partition

2 May 2010

Mr. Alan Hume, a British officer took intiative in establishing ‘Anti-revolutionaries’ Congress Party on 28th December 1884 by discussing with various leaders from different places who were loyal to the British to implement a preventive measure that would not once again make any Indian think about armed revolution and a war similar to the freedom fight of 1857 was not waged in future. Please remember that the reason for Congress hating revolutionaries is in its establishment that took place 125 years ago !
