Beware of pentecostal pastors...!!!

Here in this article you will find the nature of pentecostal pastors and their fraudulent ways of converting other faiths in to their religion. All they need is "Harvest" and earn money out of every convert. I request everyone who reads this article to share this truth with your friends and relatives and be alert with those "white robe merchants" - they may visit your house and pray for you - they are the well trained representatives of different missionaries who know the tricks and tactics as to how makes one believe their religion and as well they will make you to say that the Hindu Gods are devils. However, be alert and ensure that no such frauds are entering in to your houses disguising themselves as "Friends" or any other way.

How Pentecostal Brainwashing = Religious Indoctrination?

A Pentecostal is a person that believes in speaking in tongues - glossolalia - as proof that a person has received the Holy Ghost. Pentecostals are people who believe in dramatic demonstrations of the Gifts of the Spirit, such as prophecy or the interpretation of tongues. Pentecostal Oneness believers reject the concept of the Trinity and are convinced salvation relies upon the literal form of baptism; dunking rather than sprinkling and repentance of one's sins. People who are not familiar with Pentecostalism may think that the following descriptions are exaggerated and shocking, however the things depicted in this article are indeed accurate as I have witnessed it first hand. I spent a part of my childhood as a member of this religion because my parents were, and still are, heavily involved in their local Apostolic Pentecostal church. This is my perspective of the methods used in brainwashing new members into the Pentecostal religion and their indoctrination.

Social Bonds Must Be Severed

One of the tasks involved in submerging into the Pentecostal religion is breaking the bonds with friends and family. When a new member of the congregation is first introduced they are bombed with love, compassion, new friends that tend to leave them estranged from friends and family.

What happens is the new member begins to take on the jargon and mentality of the church, most outsiders to the religion do not understand it. This provides a barrier that is difficult to cross because the new convert has been taught to represent God in everything they do, they begin to use phrases like "Praise God" and "The Holy Ghost checked me." Most people find this to be a bizarre way of talking outside of church. Pretty soon the convert begins to push this new found religion on others. Typically the family reacts by trying to turn the convert away from their new church but this in turn causes frustration because the convert believes the family simply can not "see the truth." At this point the new recruit will discuss this problem with other church members and may even testify in church about the resistance of family members. Church Elders will advise the convert to preach the truth and convince the family to attend church.

The cycle continues as the convert becomes even more of a pest, totally convinced that the devil has a hold on the minds of family and friends, until eventually they are considered to be insane. Church friends will now inform the convert that their family and friends have rejected the truth and nothing more can be done, separation is best. From that moment on the bonds that keep families together will be broken because there will no longer be any commonality between them.

The new recruited members of the Pentecostal church will become lonely, but never fear the congregation is near. This babe in Christ, as they are often called, will jump promiscuously into friendships in the church without taking the time to find out about the other persons past or present and many of these people have led lives of crime and drugs or worse. Church member's past will not matter to the convert since all their sins were previously washed away. Thus the recruit will endeavour to build a new safety net of friends and claim the other church members as family. To leave the church is to be cut off from this "brothers and sisters in Christ." Separation from the church can be devastating to a member who no longer has other family or friends as a support group.

Proper Church Procedure; What Every Good Pentecostal Knows

Apostolic Pentecostals can be more easily spotted than their Trinitarian counterparts. Apostolic have a very precise way of being viewed by the outside world. They endeavour to separate themselves physically from the rest of the world in order to be seen for the church they represent. All Apostolic are trained right from the start to alter the way they dress. Women are forbidden from wearing pants, jewellery of any kind, including watches and wedding bands, sleeves must reach half way between the elbow and wrist, make up is a no no and skin is off Limits. Men are not allowed to wear shorts, jewellery or have long hair; their sleeves must be the same lengths as the women's Rock and Roll music (this constitutes any music not played on the local Christian radio station and even some of that is off limits if it has too fast of a beat) is of the devil. It is not allowed in any form in the home, car or church.

Any music that makes the body want to move in wantonness is considered soul threatening.

Sitting on the front pews as close to the pulpit is a requirement. The closer to the front of the church a member sits, the Godlier they are considered. Pentecostals will leave items on the pews or in chairs to mark their seat; this is done throughout the week. Sitting in the back of the church is a clear indication of being a backslider and heavy prayer is ignited instantly. If one is to survive in his or her local apostolic church, emulating the Pastor and his family is a must. This is also considered to be another sign of holiness. The more recognized by the Pastor the holier the church goer is.

Sensory Overload - It's all about Hypnosis

There are two things that All Pentecostal and charismatic churches use to manipulate and influence people with; sensory overload and expected response. When a person is blind sided by something that they have no time to prepare for, their instincts takes over and they react. For example, when a sales person starts spewing facts about a product at you in a fast manner, they are overloading you with information using things like the pitch of their voice and hand gestures. They are attacking your sense of hearing and seeing. Normally a person can not process all this information at a high speed; the one thing that can is the emotional response mechanism. Music is one way Pentecostals use this technique to create sensory overload. Loud music with just the right chord progressions tend to shut down the rational part of the brain.

Pentecostal musicians are employed to help lower normal rational functioning long enough to stimulate a person to high levels of emotion. It makes it easier for people to accept religious persuasion if accompanied by emotional music. The resonance of the music makes it feel tangible, real, and powerful.

Another technique of sensory overload is shouting

Apostolic Pentecostal Preachers are known for shouting their messages. This makes it unavoidable to a person's consciousness. As the person shouts over the loudspeaker, the high state of sensory focus and overload imprints the message in one's mind. During emotional releases in this kind of environment, it is easy to truly feel changed. This change is simply a state of hypnosis.

The rational faculty shuts down for a moment, emotions soar to the highest levels and the person is left feeling liberated. The rational faculty is designed to protect us from being emotionally controlled and that gets stopped from happening. Losing the ability to use rational, Pentecostals often lose control, run around, shouting and speaking in tongues as they climax in a state of ecstasy.

Once someone accepts this emotional state as evidence of Religious Truth, they are open to emotional manipulation and control. A person can eventually become a slave to this kind of emotional manipulation.

This is all learned though the process of feedback. The positive feedback and the negative feedback are not rational instructions, but emotional responses to one's actions. Sometimes there is childish glee, shouting, hugs, big smiles, and back patting for positive feedback, and frowns, strange stares, and social estrangement for the negative feedback. The particulars of the feedback can vary from place to place, but the power of such conditioning is enormous in Pentecostal churches. Churches manipulate people using emotional feedback. Many Preachers like to say that they used to dance with the Devil, but now they dance with the Lord.

This statement is a little revealing. Church has become their dope. In traditional Christian churches emotional restraint and self control are taught regularly but in an Apostolic Pentecostal church acts of wild behaviour are condoned, emotional ejaculation is encouraged.

Divine Authority

The term "authority" suggests an author, as in, what did he write? Most religious organizations require serious study before granting a minister his license - sometimes from four to eight years in seminary. Many Pentecostal sects do not require anything in the way of qualifications. Full institutional credentials are not necessary for pastoral duties, only the skill of verbal communication and a working knowledge of how to make the books look legal.

The idea that a church should be ran like the military with a commander at the top, lieutenants and generals guiding the ranks is a dangerous concept. In such a system, it doesn't take long to realize that questioning the chain of command isn't taken lightly. In a Pentecostal church questioning the chain of command is considered rebellion.

If a board member asks a pastor to quit teaching on certain things this would be rebellion against someone higher than him in the "established leadership" of the church. Whatever the Pastor says goes because he has been marked as an official "man of God."

The entire Apostolic Pentecostal movement is a fraud that drains the life out of people. Children go to bed at night crying because they are not allowed to live life like other children. Kids are labelled rebellious and are beaten because they don't live up to the churches standard of holiness. Women are taken from their natural inclinations to make themselves up to being a plain person that becomes void of will and spirit. Men become emotionally manipulative because they are taught their wives are.

Why do Hindus worship the cow?

The cow represents the giving nature of life to every Hindu. Honoring this gentle animal, who gives more than she takes, we honor all creatures.

Longer answer:

Hindus regard all living- creatures as sacred—mammals, fishes, birds and more. We acknowledge this reverence for life in our special affection for the cow. At festivals we decorate and honor her, but we do not worship her in the sense that we worship the Deity. To the Hindu, the cow symbolizes all other creatures. The cow is a symbol of the Earth, the nourisher, the ever-giving, undemanding provider. The cow represents life and the sustenance of life. The cow is so generous, taking nothing but water, grass and grain. It gives and gives and gives of its milk, as does the liberated soul give of his spiritual knowledge. The cow is so vital to life, the virtual sustainer of life, for many humans. The cow is a symbol of grace and abundance. Veneration of the cow instills in Hindus the virtues of gentleness, receptivity and connectedness with nature.

Elaboration:

Who is the greatest giver on planet Earth today? Who do we see on every table in every country of the world—breakfast, lunch and dinner? It is the cow. McDonald's cow-vending golden arches and their rivals have made fortunes on the humble cow. The generous cow gives milk and cream, yogurt and cheese, butter and ice cream, ghee and buttermilk. It gives entirely of itself through sirloin, ribs, rump, porterhouse and beef stew. Its bones are the base for soup broths and glues. It gives the world leather belts, leather seats, leather coats and shoes, beef jerky, cowboy hats—you name it. The only cow-question for Hindus is, "Why don't more people respect and protect this remarkable creature?" Mahatma Gandhi once said, "One can measure the greatness of a nation and its moral progress by the way it treats its animals. Cow protection to me is not mere protection of the cow. It means protection of all that lives and is helpless and weak in the world. The cow means the entire subhuman world."

In the Hindu tradition, the cow is honored, garlanded and given special feedings at festivals all over India, most importantly the annual Gopashtama festival. Demonstrating how dearly Hindus love their cows, colorful cow jewelry and clothing is sold at fairs all over the Indian countryside. From a young age, Hindu children are taught to decorate the cow with garlands, paint and ornaments. Her nature is epitomized in Kamadhenu, the divine, wish-fulfilling cow. The cow and her sacred gifts—milk and ghee in particular—are essential elements in Hindu worship, penance and rites of passage. In India, more than 3,000 institutions called Gaushalas, maintained by charitable trusts, care for old and infirm cows. And while many Hindus are not vegetarians, most respect the still widely held code of abstaining from eating beef. By her docile, tolerant nature, the cow exemplifies the cardinal virtue of Hinduism, noninjury, known as ahimsa.

The cow also symbolizes dignity, strength, endurance, maternity and selfless service. In the Vedas, cows represent wealth and joyous Earthly life. From the Rig Veda (4.28.1;6) we read. 'the cows have come and have brought us good fortune. In our stalls, contented, may they stay! May they bring forth calves for us, many-colored, giving milk for Indra each day. You make, O cows, the thin man sleek; to the unlovely you bring beauty. Rejoice our homestead with pleasant lowing. In our assemblies we laud your vigor."

Why Cow is a sacred Animal?

Hinduism strongly believes in Ahimsa and that Hindus consider cruelty to animals is a sin against God. But I do say that there are two groups in HINDUS - one is vegetarian and the other is Non-vegetarian. But, in general, every Hindu considers cow is a sacred animal and Hindus treat the cows the incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi and they worship.

Umashankar. K

Mahatma Gandhi wrote "If someone were to ask me what the most important outward manifestation of Hinduism was, I would suggest that it was the idea of cow protection." Hindus consider cows sacred for many reasons. This reverence that Hindus show for cows is generally misinterpreted and even mocked. Hinduism encourages love of animals and treating all living beings with kindness. Hindus believe that the Supreme Creator resides in all beings.

    History

  1. Cows are mentioned in ancient Hindu scriptures such as Atharva Veda and in Indian mythology. Lord Krishna, who Hindus consider an incarnation of Vishnu the Protector, was a cow herd. Lord Shiva's Vahana (vehicle) is Nandi, the bull. He was Shiva and Parvathi's gate keeper. Sculptures and statues depicting these historic associations can be found in Hindu temples that are over a thousand years old.
  2. Significance

  3. A cow is a source of nutrition, providing milk, buttermilk, butter and clarified butter (ghee). Cow dung has been used as manure and bio fuel for thousands of years in rural India. When spread on the floor, its antiseptic property keeps insects and rodents away. Cow's urine (gorojana) contains several elements, vitamins and hormones and is useful in treating various diseases. It is also a non-polluting insecticide.
  4. Misconceptions

  5. Non-Hindus who are not familiar with the reasons why the cow is considered sacred often attribute the way a cow is treated by Hindus to superstition. However, Hindus treat cows with reverence and gratitude because of all the benefits they provide. A cow is considered equivalent to one's Mother or Goddess by many Hindus.
  6. Fact

  7. Hindus believe that a cow is a symbol of Goddess Lakshmi, who represents good fortune. On religious occasions, Hindus make an offering to a cow before dining themselves. During a Hindu house-warming ceremony, in many parts of India, a cow is brought in to bless the new home. She is honored with a special Puja (ritual) and is smeared with vermilion and sandalwood paste.
  8. Considerations

  9. Cows roam about freely even on busy streets in India. Citizens can be punished for harming a cow. Thus they pose traffic hazards, often causing drivers to maneuver their way around a herd of cows. In some cities like New Delhi, special programs are being undertaken to transport the cows safely outside the city limits, sometimes to reserves where they are cared for.

Scientific view of Mahabharata

Science tells us that planet earth is a living being. But an imminent ecological cessation due to the reckless destruction of earth's assets finds humanity facing the challenge of saving the planet.

To put the earth we inhabit in a true perspective, Veda Vyasa personified the Earth as Kunti Devi in the epic Mahabharata. As a young girl, Kunti was granted a boon by Sage Durvasa Muni that she could invoke any God by chanting a sacred mantra.

Kunti was always fascinated by the rising Sun. In the aura of the Sun, one day, she saw a handsome man adorned with divine armor and brilliant ear-rings. Remembering Durvasa's boon, she chanted the sacred mantra and the Sun God had appreared before her. The Sun God, by the power of divinity, granted her a Child. Kunti had then, gave birth to a son called Karna. The child also wore armor and ear-rings (kavacha & kundala in Sanskrit).

In Sanskrit, "Kun-ti" means "The Earth". Kunti's other name is Pritha or Prithvi which means the same. Life originated on Earth with the help of Sun's rays. Vegetation was born. Karna, literally means, grain with chaff. He represents seed, the essence of the vegetable kingdom. But a seed cannot sprout without water. Kunti placed her child in a basket in the waters of the river Aswa. karna was found and brought up by Adhirath, a charioteer, who lived by the banks of the river. "Adhi-rath" actually means, "anxiety for the body".

Karna grew up as a great warrior later to be known as Ang-raj, meaning "ruler of the body". The significance of Karna's protective armor and ear-rings can be comprehended from the Sanskrit words, kavacha and kundala. The entire vegetable kingdom has a protective skin or peel, hide or shell, husk or crust. Kavacha in Sanskrit means protective covering and also rind or bark. And fruits hanging from trees just look like ear-rings or kundalas.

Kunti, used the boon of chanting the sacred mantra, and with the help of celestial grants, gave birth to the 5 Pandavas - Yudhistira from Dharma, Bhima from Vayu, Arjuna from Indra, Nakul and Sahadev from the Asvins. If Kunti's first born (Karna) conceived through the energy of the sun represents the vegetable kingdom, all the 5 Pandava brothers may be considered to constitute different parts that go to the making of the man, the highest manifestation of the animal kingdom.

Yudhistira represents Buddhi, Bhima - the mind, Arjuna - Prana or breath and the twins Nakul and Sahadev - arms and legs respectively. They were born one after the other, just like the child emerges from the womb - head first (this is the place of the Buddhi i.e., Yudhistira) then the brow, the place of the mind (Bhima) then the organs of the senses from the ears downwards through which the breath can pass (Arjuna) completing the principal parts of the man. Then we have arms, followed by legs, which are alike in every part and lie together in the womb; and so they are twins represented by Nakul and Sahadev.

The above interpretation merely seeks to draw attention to the importance of all aspects of the environment, for, as human beings, we have within us, all the elements t hat exist outside of us. The earth and its inhabitants therefore need to live in mutual harmony is the essence which Ved Vyasa is portraying to the common man through this epic story of Mahabharata.

Devi Durga and Her different forms

As the ten-armed Goddess, Goddess Durga presents a radiantly beautiful form that is bewitching to behold. That special form is somehow simultaneously wrathful and benign and transmits profound spiritual teachings in an exacting manner. The nine-day period from the new moon day to the ninth day of Ashvina is considered the most auspicious time of the Hindu Calendar and is hence the most celebrated time of the year as Durga Puja. The nine different forms of Devi are worshiped over the nine days. These are the most popular forms under which she is worshiped:

Durga Shailputri (Daughter of Mountain)

She is a daughter of Himalaya and first among nine Durgas. In previous birth she was the daughter of Daksha. Her name was Sati - Bhavani. i.e. the wife of Lord Shiva. Once Daksha had organized a big Yagna and did not invite Shiva. But Sati being obstinate, reached there. Thereupon Daksha insulted Shiva. Sati could not tolerate the insult of husband and burnt herself in the fire of Yagna. In other birth she became the daughter of Himalaya in the name of Parvati - Hemvati and got married with Shiva. As per Upnishad she had torn and the egotism of Indra, etc. Devtas. Being ashamed they bowed and prayed that, "In fact, thou are Shakti, we all - Brahma, Vishnu and Shiv are capable by getting Shakti from you."

Brahmacharini

The second Durga Shakti is Brahamcharini. Brahma that is who observes penance(tapa) and good conduct. Here "Brahma" means "Tapa". The idol of this Goddess is very gorgeous. There is rosary in her right hand and Kamandal in left hand. She is full with merriment. One story is famous about her. In previous birth she was Parvati Hemavati the daughter of Himvan. Once when she was busy in games with her friends. Naradaji came to her and predicted seeing her Palm-lines that, "You will get married with a naked-terrible 'Bhole baba' who was with you in the form of Sati, the daughter of Daksh in previous birth. But now you have to perform penance for him." There upon Parvati told her mother Menaka that she would marry none except Shambhu, otherwise she would remain unmarried. Saying this she went to observe penance. That is why her name is famous as tapacharini - Brahmacharini. From that time her name Uma became familiar.

Chandraghanta

The name of third Shakti is Chandraghanta. There is a half-circular moon in her forehead. She is charmful and bright. She is Golden color. She has three eyes and ten hands holding with ten types of swords - etc. weapons and arrows etc. She is seated on Lion and ready for going in war to fight. She is unprecedented image of bravery. The frightful sound of her bell terrifies all the villains, demons and danavas.

Kushmanda

Name of fourth Durga is Kushmanda. The Shakti creates egg, ie. Universe by mere laughing .She resides in solar systems. She shines brightly in all the ten directions like Sun. She has eight hands. Seven types of weapons are shining in her seven hands. Rosary is in her right hand. She seems brilliant riding on Lion. She likes the offerings of "Kumhde." Therefore her name "Kushmanda" has become famous.

The story of Abhimanyu

Abhimanyu is a brave and tragic hero in the Hindu epic, the Mahabharata. He is the son of Arjuna and Subhadra, the half-sister of Lord Krishna.

As an unborn child in his mother's womb, Abhimanyu learns the knowledge of entering the deadly and virtually impenetrable Chakravyuha (see Wars of Hindu Mythology) from Arjuna. The epic explains that he overheard Arjuna talking about this with his mother from the womb. Arjuna spoke about entering Chakravyuha and later Subhadra dozed to sleep. Arjuna stopped explaining Chakravyuha escape when he saw Subhadra slept while listening. As an effect, the baby Abhimanyu in womb didn't get a chance to know of coming out of it.

Abhimanyu spent his childhood in Dwaraka, his mother's city. He was trained by Pradyumna, the son of Sri Krishna and his great warrior father Arjuna and brought up under the guidance of Lord Krishna. His father arranged his marriage to Uttara, daughter of king Virata to seal an alliance between the Pandavas and the royal family of Virata, in lieu of the forthcoming Kurukshetra War. The Pandavas had been hiding in cognito to live through the final year of their exile without being discovered, in Virata's kingdom of Matsya.

Being the grandson of Lord Indra, god of mystical weapons and wars responsible for killing thousands of enemy heroes and hundreds of thousands of warriors, Abhimanyu was a courageous and dashing warrior. Considered equal to his father's level owing his prodigious feats, Abhimanyu was able to hold at bay, great heroes like Drona, Karna, Duryodhana and Dushasana. He was praised for his audacious bravery and absolute loyalty to his father, his uncles and to their cause.

Abhimanyu has taken part in the war of Mahabharat and killed important personalities such as Kumara Lakshmana, the son of Duryodhana and Brihadbala, the king of Kosala belonging to Ikshwaku dynasty.

On the 13th day of battle, the Kauravas challenge the Pandavas to break a circular battle formation known as the Chakravyuha (see Wars of Hindu Mythology).

The Pandavas accept the challenge since they know that the knowledge of how to defeat such a formation is known to Krishna and Arjuna.

However, on that day, Krishna and Arjuna are dragged into fighting a war on another front with the Samsaptakas. Since the Pandavas have accepted the challenge already, they have no choice but to attempt to use young lad Abhimanyu, who has knowledge on how to break into the formation but none whatsoever regarding how to break out of it. To make sure that Abhimanyu does not get trapped in this endeavour, the remaining Pandava brothers decide that they and their allies will also break into the formation along with Abhimanyu and assist the boy in breaking out of it. It is important to note that the plan is hatched well after Arjuna and Krishna have been distracted away by the Samsaptaka army led by Susarma.

On the fateful day, Abhimanyu uses his skills to successfully break into the formation. The Pandava brothers and allies attempt to follow him inside the formation, but they are effectively cut off by Jayadratha, the Sindhu king, who makes use of a boon from Shiva to hold off all Pandavas except Arjuna for one day only. Abhimanyu is left to fend for himself against the entire Kaurava army.

When Abhimanyu commands his charioteer to lead his chariot towards Drona, the man is not happy to do so and raises objections. He requests the sixteen-year-old to take time to think about it before he begins the battle. He points out that Abhimanyu has grown up amidst great love and comforts and he is not a master of the battle arts as Drona is. Young Abhimanyu’s answer is disturbing to the reader of the epic and it speaks loudly of his underestimation of the mighty warriors on the Kaurava side and of his overestimation of himself, of his megalomania. Laughing aloud, he tells his charioteer: “What is this Drona or even the entire world of kshatriyas to me? I can fight Indra himself, mounted on his Airavata, along with all the gods! Why, I can fight in a battle even Lord Rudra himself, to whom the entire world of beings pays homage! This battle that I am going wage today does not bewilder me in the least. Abhimanyu’s shocking words do not stop with these either. Continuing in the same vein he says: “This entire army of enemies is not equal to one sixteenth of my power. Why, even if I find in front of me in the battlefield my father Arjuna or my uncle himself, the mighty Vishnu who has conquered the whole universe, that wouldn’t frighten me.

With no great joy in his mind, the poor charioteer takes his master forward. Abhimanyu breaks into the chakravyuha. In the mighty battle that follows with relentless ferocity for hours on end, he slaughters ordinary enemy warriors and mighty heroes alike, even as a whirlwind pulls up by their roots tiny bushes as well as mighty trees on its path

Abhimanyu fights valiantly single-handedly slaying several warriors who come his way including Duryodhana's son Laxman.Among the others who were killed are Karna’s younger brother, Ashmaka’s son, Shalya’s younger brother, Shalya’s son Rukmaratha, Drighalochana, Kundavedhi, Sushena, Vasatiya, Kratha and numerous other great warriors. He wounds Karna and makes him flee, makes Dushshasana faint in the battlefield so that he has to be carried off by others. Upon witnessing the death of his beloved son, Duryodhana is incensed and orders the entire Kaurava force to attack Abhimanyu. Continually frustrated in attempts to pierce Abhimanyu's armor, Karna on Dronacharya's advice shatters Abhimanyu's bow firing arrows from behind him. Thus disabled, his chariot breaks down shortly later, the charioteer and horses are killed, and all his weapons are laid to waste. He attempts then to fight off the bow wielding warriors sitting on horses, elephants at the same time with a sword and a chariot wheel as a shield. Dushasana's son engages in fierce hand to hand combat with Abhimanyu. Ignoring all codes of war, the Kauravas all fight simultaneously with him. He holds his own until his sword breaks and the remaining chariot wheel shatters into pieces. Abhimanyu gets killed shortly thereafter when Dushasana's son crushes his skull with a mace.

It is said that it is Abhimanyu's death that marks the end of the adherence to the rules of war. Krishna cites the despicable manner in which Abhimanyu was killed to incite Arjuna to kill Karna. This is cited as a reason to kill Duryodhana. Some say that this does not only apply to the particular war but marks the end of fair and nobly conducted wars.

News of the despicable acts committed on Abhimanyu reached his father Arjuna at the end of the day, who vows to kill Jayadratha the very next day by sunset, and failing to do so, commit suicide by self-immolation immediately.

The Kaurava army the next day places Jayadratha furthest away from Arjuna, and every warrior including the Samshaptakas (mercenaries to vow only to return from battle fields only upon victory else death) attempts to prevent Arjuna from reaching anywhere close to Jayadratha. Arjuna literally hacks through the Kaurava army and kills more than a hundred thousand soldiers and warriors in a single day. However, almost by sundown, Arjuna's chariot is still nowhere near Jayadratha's. Arjuna becomes despondent because he realizes that failure is imminent, and starts getting mentally prepared to self-immolate. Krishna being the almighty god uses his powers to temporarily to create an eclipse. The Kauravas and Pandavas alike believe that indeed the sun has set and the war stops according to the rules. Both sides come to watch Arjuna self-immolate. In his haste to see Arjuna's death, Jayadratha also comes to the front. Krishna sees the opportunity that he has effectively created, and the sun comes out again. Before the Kauravas can take corrective action, Krishna points out to Arjuna and asks him to pick up his Gandiva and behead Jayadratha. Arjuna's unerring arrows decapitate Jayadratha, and his vow to kill Jayadratha by sunset that day and avenge Abhimanyu's death is fulfilled. The reason for creating eclipse is also suggested at many places as a plot to save Arjuna from death, because Jayadratha had got a boon from his father that whoever would cause Jayadratha's head to fall onto earth would also die immediately. So Lord Krishna wanted everything to happen in this way so that Jayadratha would be on an easy aim. When Arjuna beheads Jayadratha, he does it so skillfully that the head falls straight into the lap of his father who was sitting under a tree. His father is shocked and stands up, causing Jayadratha's head to fall to earth. Thus his father is killed immediately.

Abhimanyu is the reincarnation of Varchas, the son of the moon god. When the moon god was asked to let his son incarnate himself on earth by the other devas, he made a pact that his son will only remain on earth for 16 years as he could not bear to be separated from him. Abhimanyu was 16 years old when he died in the war.

His son, Parikshita, born after his death, remains the sole survivor of the Kuru clan at the conclusion of the Mahabarata war, and carries on the Pandava lineage.

Abhimanyu is often thought of as a very brave warrior on the Pandava side, willingly giving up his life in war at a very young age.

Contemporary Babars Question Lord Ram

Tamilnadu Chief Minister had made some abusive remarks against Lord Ram, a God incarnate of Hindus. He is a known atheist and is brain washed with Dravidian ideology. Many people dare him make similar comments on other religious figures if he is really an atheist. But I know, he can never take up this challenge as this will alienate his minority vote bank. In fact, his comments on Lord Ram not only make him look like a fool but also brought into public view his unethical and degenerated life style. When he wanted the proof of Ram’s existence to believe him, some wonder whether he believes that he is the son of his own father, as he has not seen the proof of it.

This gentleman was so much inspired by the great killer Stalin, he named his son after him. And you know, it was believed that Stalin was responsible for the death of more than three million people but recent findings put that figure as high as 20 million. These shameless demagogues who divide the society in the name of caste, creed and sect are not worth even to utter Rama's name. Earlier, in an affidavit to Supreme Court, Indian Govt submitted that there is no historical proof of Lord Ram. What else to expect from a Government, which is headed by a bunch of psycophants?

I am just wondering what made these people to hate their own religion, their own culture and their own ancestors. What is the basis of this Dravidian thought? This all started with now debunk Aryan Invasion theory. This theory was proposed by some racist Europeans. Europeans, particularly Germans and Britishers, killed several million innocents in the name of race in the last century. These racists thought that there can not be a better civilization, religion and language than their own.
British imperialists who occupied India, furthered this theory to justify their occupation of India saying that Aryans were nomads from Iran and not from India. When it was found that Sanskrit was mother of all European languages, they brought up another theory that Sanskrit too was not Indian.

I quote the following passage from an authentic source:

One person who reported about this is Deen Chandora in his article, Distorted Historical Events and Discredited Hindu Chronology, as it appeared in Revisiting Indus-Sarasvati Age and Ancient India (p. 383). He explains that the idea of the Aryan invasion was certainly not a matter of misguided research, but was a conspiracy to distribute deliberate misinformation that was formulated on April 10, 1866 in London at a secret meeting held in the Royal Asiatic Society. This was “to induct the theory of the Aryan invasion of India, so that no Indian may say that English are foreigners. . . India was ruled all along by outsiders and so the country must remain a slave under the benign Christian rule.” This was a political move and this theory was put to solid use in all schools and colleges.

British destroyed the native education system by abolishing several hundred thousands of Gurukulas and made it illegal to give any support to these schools. Lord Macaulay's "Minute on Indian Education" speech gave a road map on how to destroy Indian Education system and replace with that of his agenda. Macaulay largely succeeded then as most of the educated Indians were brain washed with these theories in the new British education system. Dravidian thought came into existence thus. They started believing that Aryans were foreigners and brought Hinduism and Sanskrit to India along with them and forced it on native Dravidians.

Now the new research has proven that Aryan Invasion was a myth and this theory, in fact, was a sinister design by some racist Europeans. The new findings show that Indian civilization is the oldest civilization and Sanskrit was born in India. But alas, the damage was already done. People brain washed with these theories were not ready to accept it. Mr. Karunanidhi was one of those brain washed Dravidian. There were also attempts by these Dravidians to include all south Indians into their fold by saying all south Indian languages were originated from Tamil, but thankfully, they have not succeeded. Babar could have destroyed Sri Ram Temple at Ayodya but he could not eliminate Ram from the hearts of Hindus. These new age Babars are at work again to complete the unfinished agenda.

Hindus and India

Indian civilization is the oldest civilization of the world. Recent discoveries show that Indian civilization is more than 8000 years old. Indian civilization more appropriately called as Hindu Civilization was spread over several countries like Afganistan, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Burma, Srilanka, Bangladesh and so on besides India. Many of these countries are once part of greater India that is Akhanda Bharat. The contributions of Hindus in various fields like astronomy, Metallurgy, Architecture, Navigation, Physics, Chemistry, Medicine, Mathematics, Literature, Philosophy ..etc is unparalleled and a challenge to the modern science. Most startling of these was their knowledge about Aircraft technology. Vimanika Sastra (approx 1000 BCE) of Sage Bharadwaj dwelts on types of Aircrafts, materials to be used and their construction. Some of their contributions are mind boggling considering that these were invented / postulated atleast 2000 to 6000 years ago.

A glimpse of their contributions :

Astronomy : Ancient Hindus were first to suggest a heliocentric solar system Speed of light was calculated as 1,85,016 miles/sec. They had even calculated the distance between Earth and Moon as 108 diameters of Moon and Earth and Sun as 108 diameters of Sun. These figures are very close to the modern day values. All these were stated several thousand years before the famous scientist Galileo postulated in the west that sun was the center of the planetary system and Earth was not flat, which was against the prevailing religious doctrines and he died during his house-arrest by clergy. Another astonishing invention was ancient Hindus calculated the age of Earth as 4.3 billion years. The modern estimate is 4.5 billion years. Just remember that the biblical age of the Earth, as per Chrisitans, is just 6,000 years!.

Mathematics: Contributions of ancient Hindus in field of mathematics is truly marvelous. The decimal system and present day numerals 1 to 9 and zero, which are known as “Hindu Numerals”, were first invented by ancient Hindus. The binary digits of ‘0’ and ‘1’ are so vital for present day digital world, IT and even Internet. They had calculated value of ‘pi’ to 31 digits. Algebraic equations, Permutations and Combinations, pascal triangle, pythogorous theorm .etc were known to them several thousand years before it was known to modern world.

Yoga : If there is one reason why the entire world, irrespective of religion, sect and country, shall bow down before ancient Hindu's wisdom, it is Yoga. Yoga is a god sent gift to the mankind. This five thousand year old health science which was once derided by British imperialists and Christian missionaries to subjugate Hindus and force them to accept superiority of their race, is now accepted world wide as a wonderful solution to most of the heath problems of humans and practiced extensively for stress management. Yoga cures by strengthening the body to win over most of the diseases.

What Hindus Need To Know

Christianisation Of Chennai Doordarshan's Podhigai Channel:

Money, mission and missionaries

Canadian Evangelist Dr. Ron Watts and his American wife Dorothy Watts, missionaries of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, came to India on tourist visa in the 1970s and established an evangelical empire in Hosur on the Tamil Nadu-Karnataka border and indulged in heavy conversion activities throughout South India. As their illegal activities got exposed over a period of time, the State Government ordered the Dharmapuri District Collector to deport them.

A deportation order against Dr. Ron Watts dated 05/09/2003 Letter No: 3608/A1/2003-1 was given by Smt R. Vasantha, B.A., Under Secretary to Government, Public (Foreigners) Department, Secretariat, Chennai-600 009, addressed to the Collector of Dharmapuri and received by the collector on 12 Sept, 2003. But by then, they made a heavy harvest in South India, especially later by utilizing the “Joshua Project 2000” conceived and sanctioned by the US government under George Bush.

Along with Maranatha Volunteers International, American organizations like Bible for the World, Common Global Ministries Board and United Church Board of World Ministries worked in coordination with Ron Watts. Organizations such as Christian Solidarity Worldwide, Konrad Adenauer Foundation and World Vision helped in grabbing lands and getting political support.

Evangelists like Paul Dinakaran and Sadhu Chellappa and many others in India also get millions of dollars from countries like US, UK and Germany. The funds received per annum have gone up from Rs.1865 crores to Rs. 12990 crores within a period of 12 years, from 1993-94 to 2006-07. Foreign contributions have increased by more than 100% since UPA came to power.

Tamil Nadu, which was getting on an average of Rs.700 crores, started getting Rs.2000 crores since UPA came to power. Crores of rupees are being spent in each and every district of Tamil Nadu to plant crosses, build churches and harvest souls. As these are the official figures provided by the government, one can imagine the unofficial foreign money flowing into this country. (Ref 1 and Ref. 2 and www.mha.nic.in/fcra.htm). In such a scenario, Podhigai’s impact will be mind boggling, facilitating a heavy harvest for the evangelists.

Impact of private media

We are aware of the private media’s bias against Hindus and its attempts to de-Hinduise this nation. From a deep analysis of the media and its functioning, we can infer a fundamentally important issue.

In our country, the majority of colleges and educational institutions which run courses on Journalism, Visual Communications, Media Management and Mass Communication are Christian. Most teachers, lecturers and professors of these institutions are either Christians or Leftists. Even Hindu students studying in these institutions become ‘secularists’ over a period of time. Thousands of students who come out of these institutions join the print and electronic media houses across the country. The names of Editors, Columnists, Sub-Editors, Correspondents and important reporters show that more than 90% of them are minorities, leftists, secularists and rationalists. No wonder the output from these media houses is blatantly anti-Hindu!

If government broadcasters also join these private players, the outcome is anybody’s guess. On the one hand the private players spew Hindu hatred and on the other hand government players support preaching by minority communities, ultimately leading to de-Hinduisation and a heavy ‘harvest’.

Podhigai shamed and snubbed by evangelists

Although media houses vie with each other to denigrate Hinduism, they don’t shy away from brazenly using the Ithihasas and Puranas to produce and air serials for money and TRP rating. They shamelessly fall at the feet of Hindus by telecasting live the many festivals like Vaikunda Ekadasi, Shivratri, Krishna Jayanthi, and Temple consecrations, etc. When Podhigai wanted to telecast a Hindu festival live, it was insulted by an evangelical organization.

The channel wanted to show live telecast of the last Vaikunda Ekadasi festival event in Srirangam Ranganathaswamy Temple and Chennai Parthasarathy Swamy Temple simultaneously from early morning up to 6.30 am. Since the evangelical organization refused to adjust its timing for that particular day, Podhigai had to stop the live telecast abruptly at 5.30 am to facilitate airing of the evangelical program ‘Victory Today’.

Podhigai against Constitution

As per the Constitution, India is a secular country. As Akashvani and Doordarshan are public broadcasters, their bias towards a particular religion is violation of the Constitution. There is nothing wrong in telecasting religiously important festivals to showcase the culture and tradition of a community. India is known for its ancient and timeless civilisational ethos. The magnificent temples are symbols of our cultural heritage. They showcase our cultural magnificence through their architectural beauty and sculptural splendour.

Just because a 60-year-old Constitution says ‘India is secular’, it doesn’t lose its Hindu identity or Hinduness. The Constitution terms our nation as ‘secular’ only for the purpose of governance and administration and not for changing the cultural ethos. There cannot be a second opinion to the fact that India is a Hindu nation with a Hindu culture. Therefore, Doordarshan and Akashvani are duty bound to broadcast all important Hindu festivals which impart religious and cultural values to viewers and listeners.

Christianity and Islam are revealed religions, brought to India by alien people. They are not religions of this soil. Their culture and tradition are totally different and alien to us. In spite of that, it is legitimate to broadcast their important festivals as a part of secular administration, as a considerable number of Islamic and Christian converts are citizens of this land.

But festivals are one thing; preaching is different. What Podhigai does is deliberate preaching of Christianity, and besides, it allows such programs to insult the nation’s culture, tradition and Gods. In a secular country, public broadcasters indulging in preaching a particular minority religion and insulting the faith of the country’s majority community amounts to a clear violation of the Constitution.

Podhigai violates the law of the land

Both Akashvani and Doordarshan are supposed to follow the “Program Code”. by allowing evangelical programs, Podhigai has violated important sections of the Program Code. For example, it hurts religious sentiments and threatens National Integration by criticising Vigraha worship and addressing non-Christians as ‘sinners’ through the evangelical programs.

Podhigai has also violated the “Prasar Bharati (Indian Broadcasting Corporation) Act 1990” .This Act clearly lays down norms for the functioning of public broadcasters like Akashvani and Doordarshan. Podhigai has violated some of them by allowing the evangelical programs.
Indifference shown by the department

As a journalist I shot off an e-mail to Ms. Aruna Sharma, Director General of Doordarshan, with copies to Ms. Ambika Soni, Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Dr. Jegathrakshagan, Minister of State, I&B, Smt. Sushma Swaraj, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Mr. Arun Jaitley, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Saba, BJP President Mr. Nitin Gadkari, Senior BJP Leader Mr. L.K. Advani, Mr. B.S. Lalli, CEO Prasar Bharati, Mr. Ashok Jeilkhani, R. Venkateswarulu and Smt. Usha Bhasin (All Deputy Director Generals, Doordarshan). The letter dated 22 March 2010 gives complete details and requests the authorities to kindly investigate the serious matter and take appropriate action as per norms. I requested them to save Chennai Doordarshan from becoming a mouthpiece of Christianity and reinstate Vande Mataram, so that it remains patriotic. I requested an acknowledgement and assurance from the authorities that they would take immediate action. Till the time of writing this article, they had not responded.

It is understood that Minister of State for I & B Dr. Jegathrakshagan reprimanded the Chennai team in a meeting of senior officials in New Delhi for allowing evangelical programs. He is believed to have asked, “When all denominations of Christianity have their own channels exclusively for evangelization and preaching, why do you allow them in Podhigai?” But he seems not to have taken any action to stop them either!

Christianisation of Chennai Doordarshan's Podhigai Channel

Christianisation – A small backdrop

The Church functions with the sole agenda of Christianisation of the entire world. Christian Institutions of all denominations have the expertise to Christianise non-Christian nations, investing their political clout and money power for ‘harvesting’. The invasion of American, African and Australian countries, annihilating the natives, destroying their culture, planting the Cross, constructing the Church and ultimately establishing the Christian Regime are discernible chapters of world history. If this kind of invasion is one method of Christianising a nation, the other method is by gaining entry in the garb of trade and service, permeating all sectors of governance with political motives and finally achieving the main objective of Christianisation.

The Christian onslaught on India, which started with the arrival of the Portuguese, Dutch and French, attained greater heights during British rule. It would not be an exaggeration to say it has reached its zenith under the alien headed UPA government. Apart from conquering mountain ranges (tribal villages) and coastal regions (fishermen hamlets), the Church has penetrated the interior regions in the name of educational and health services and grabbed vast stretches of land, to the extent that the Church is the second largest land owner in India, next only to the government.

After attaining freedom through years of struggle and sacrifice, our modern founding fathers failed to exile Christian Missionaries and Institutions. They committed the big blunder of giving huge concessions to Christians and Muslims in the name of ‘minority’ rights while framing the Constitution. Another stupidity was the continuation of the Macaulay system of education. These three blunders have resulted in the falling of many sectors to the control of Christians. Even the governance at present!

Christianised Media

The media has long since been Christianized in India. As courses like Journalism, Media Management, Electronics & Visual Communication and Mass Communication are available mostly in Christian institutions even Hindu students are intoxicated with an over-dosage of ‘secularism’ during their studies. They come out of college as ‘secularists’ and function to the detriment of Hindu interests.

Also, media houses in India are either Christian Institutions or Christian funded Institutions or Christian managed institutions or Institutions employing more Christians (minorities), leftists and the so-called secularists. No wonder these institutions work with a mission of de-Hinduise the nation!

Present status of media in India

At present we come across news, reports, columns, debates and programs ridiculing the Hindu faith, insulting Hindu religious traditions, demeaning Hindu cultural heritage and belittling Hindu customs and rituals, in print and electronic, mainstream as well as unconventional media. All this is focused on Hindu youth with an aim to confuse them and create disbelief and hatred in their minds about their own religion and culture.

The same condition seems to prevail in public broadcasters Akashvani and Doordarshan. Here also we can discern considerable influence of minorities and Marxists, as the secular government of the day panders to both.

Actually, the ruling Dravidian racists of Tamil Nadu first started to de-Hinduise the public broadcasters. They influenced the central government not to use the words ‘Akashvani’ and ‘Doordarshan’ and changed them to ‘Akila Inthiya Vaanoli’ (All India Radio) and ‘Chennai Tholaikkaatchi Nilaiyam’ (Chennai Television Centre) in the name of opposing the imposition of Hindi/Sanskrit. Now, Chennai Television Centre is called as “Podhigai” and it is being Christianised.

Christian ‘Podhigai’

Myriad evangelical programs are shown on Podhigai in different names. Evangelisation is going on blatantly in the name of ‘Happy Living’, ‘Success in Life’, ‘Progress in Life’ and ‘Personality Development’. Going by the names, readers could mistake them for Human Resources Development or Educational programs or personality enhancement programs. The conductors of these programs are not Professors or Intellectuals, but Pastors, Padires and Evangelists indulging in tele-harvesting.

Christian Missionary Organisations have captured most of the time slots of sponsorship programs. Our sources indicate that some of the Doordarshan staff help them take ‘prime time’ slots. It is understood that they convince the Director of the Kendra that the revenue will increase if the slots are offered to evangelical organizations. At a time when private channels charge huge amounts for sponsorship program slots, these evangelical organizations easily get slots in Doordarshan for paltry sums from Rs.2500/- to Rs.5000/-, which helps them to harvest and reap more benefits at lesser investment.

Podhigai’s Christian preaching

Let us have a look at the number of evangelical programs going on in Podhigai:

5.30 am - Victory Today (Daily)

8.30 am - Santhoshamaai Vaazha (To Live Happily) – (Daily)

9.30 am - Vaarungal Munneralaam (Come Let us Progress) – (Mon, Wed and Fri)

9.00 pm - Needuzhi Vaazhga (Long Live) – (Daily)

10.30 pm - Vetriyum Vaazhvum (Victory and Life) – (Daily)

10.30 am on Sundays - Araadhanai Umakkey (Praise The Lord)

8.15 am on Saturday and Sunday - Varalaatril Vaazhvor (Heroes from History) - a program by famous Evangelist Joyce Meyers (also dubbed in Punjabi and Telugu and telecast in the respective kendras)

Also at 10.10 pm - Punithathai Nokkiye (Towards Holiness) - a recording of Sunday Mass.

The telecast timing in Podhigai is from 5.30 am to 11 pm and the programs shown between 11 pm and 5.30 am next day are re-telecasts.

Shocking termination of Vande Mataram

The most important and outrageous aspect in the entire issue of Christianisation of Chennai Doordarshan is the shocking termination of Vande Mataram. The mandatory playing of Vande Mataram at 5.30 am has been stopped to please the evangelists. The channel straight away starts with “Yesu Bhakti” instead of “Desh Bhakti”! It means Podhigai starts with the Blessings of Jesus and viewers must either wake up by hearing the word “Sinners” or wake up to the God who forgives sinners! The channel has indirectly made the viewers sinners.

As examinations are going on in schools at present, the channel starts with a program called “Kaanbom Karpom” (Look and Learn) at 5 am without playing Vande Mataram. Sharp at 5.30 the evangelist comes. All the Doordarshan Kendras across the country are supposed to start their telecast at 5.30 am by playing the National Song Vande Mataram and the Chennai Doordarshan is the only Kendra which has stopped playing it. Instead of Vande Mataram, it starts with Yesu Mantram. Unfortunately the people of Tamil Nadu have not realized it, for they have lost their Desh Bhakti in the vicious spell of Dravidian Maya.

Impact of Christian Podhigai

The impact of the Christianisation of Podhigai is undesirable and the consequences seem to be threatening the secular fabric of the nation and its integration. It indirectly gives the government’s stamp of approval for Christian preaching, which helps pastors and evangelists to cheat the gullible masses with that dubious stamp of approval.

Evangelists create an impression in the minds of the gullible masses as if the government authorizes the Christian way of living through their programs. The titles of these programs bear testimony for this fact.

Doordarshan’s reach and impact in rural areas is more than that of the private channels. It has gained the trust and confidence of rural people through programs such as warnings on cyclone, epidemic, weather forecasts, propagation of Family Planning and other government policies, advertisements on Health and Education and agricultural programs. As the people believe the government takes care of their welfare through Doordarshan, they easily fall prey to Christian preaching too. Evangelical organizations clearly exploit the people’s trust and confidence on Doordarshan to have a heavy harvest.

Evangelists and pastors have already started touring the villages and telling the people that Christianity is the only religion authorized and supported by the government and that they stand to gain the concessions offered by the government in various sectors apart from the money and other benefits given by Christian organizations. By this kind of an orchestrated campaign, the evangelists make a killing.

Naming the child + Hinduism

While we, the Hindus, prefer the western style of Life, this Author SWilson has said the uniqueness of "Naming ceremony of Hindus" - Lets read now:

India is a very diverse country. Unity in diversity is a phrase which perfectly captures the essence of the country. The most prominent religion of India is Hinduism. Hinduism is perhaps the most diverse religion existing on earth. There are a number of sub-divisions of the Hindu religion and each of them has its own culture and tradition. In a similar way, each sub-division has given birth to numerous Hindu baby names. You can easily see the diversity in the names that you will come across.

Naming of the child is a very important occasion in the Hindu religion. Unlike other religions in which the baby is named immediately after it is born, Hindu religion has a separate ceremony devoted to the naming of the child with a Hindu Baby Name. One of the basic considerations behind naming any child in the Hindu religion is to ensure that the name will take the child to a life of immortality. Most of the Hindu Baby names are based on some divine quality, holy people, sages, and saints, Gods or Goddesses. It is this quality of Hindu Names that makes them so unique and exotic. What’s more, many of the parents of the Western countries have now started naming their children on Hindu Baby Names. People now prefer Hindu Names as opposed to conventional Christian names like William and Mary because they believe that the uniqueness of these names will make their children stand out in the crowd.

The sources of Hindu Names are many. Hindu names are derived from names in Sanskrit, Buddhist, Hindu, and even Christian based names. The basic consideration behind a child being named with a Hindu name is success in wealth, power and leadership roles.

Hindu Baby Girl Names basically convey beauty, grace and fertility. In the Hindu Religion, a woman is considered to be the goddess (in-charge) of the house. Hence, Hindu Baby Girl Names are derived in such a way that they inspire love for family and children as well as beauty. Examples of Hindu Baby Girl Names are Anita meaning grace and Charu meaning beautiful picture.

Hindu Baby Names are generally associated with a heavy sense of love and respect in the family. As said earlier, the naming ceremony is a grand event in a Hindu family. Thus, a name in a Hindu family is significant not only for the person with that name but also for the family members including grandparents. The grandparents especially keep each and every piece of information about the name starting from its meaning to its historical background.

Thus, in conclusion, it is the beauty and grace of Hindu Baby Names which makes them very attractive prospects for new parents. While some of the other names have lost their appeal over the years, Hindu Names have been inspiring and gracing the newborn with the same elegance for centuries together. So if you are new parent searching for an apt name for your baby, why not give him/her a Hindu Baby Name?

The Maoist menace & UPA Governance

June 30th, 2010

Raipur: Twenty six CRPF jawans have been killed and seven injured in what is being seen as another major Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh.

Sources said at least 90 Maoists ambushed a 63-strong CRPF road-opening party in an area under Dhaurai police station, 3 km from the CRPF camp in Narayanpur district of the state, at about 3 pm on Tuesday.

Till date the UPA –II has not been able to impress the people by its way of functioning, even after completion of OYT in office. If one prepares a report card of the government in last one year there is dismal performance on many fronts. It starts with the home ministry; unlike to his predecessor the present minister is very vocal. For the last one year P. Chidambaram in almost every public appearance has been issuing statements only but there has been no sign of concrete action to curtail or contain the activities of Maoists or any other extremism. There is no doubt that Maoism is a biggest threat to the India’s internal security.

The Maoists do not believe in the democratic process and are motivated to overthrow the government by the use of force and violence. This cannot be accepted by the democratic structure of Indian state and retaliation against them is inevitable. The question is how to go about it, the way Chidambaram made it a prestige issue for his Ministry, has its own ramifications.

There are many other issues related with Maoism in India and these need equal attention. The government has to win back the local people who are now with Maoists and it has to look for a reason as why Maoist in India got support from Adivasis. Although, there is a major difference between the Adivasi movement and Maoist movement, still it is obvious that the ultra left has its substantial base within the Adivasis region of Dantewada.

Despite, skyscraping economic growth, the majority of Indian population is living below poverty line. More than seventy percent of Indian population is living on less than twenty rupees per day (Arjun Sen Gupta Report). The poor gentry of India are presently facing a tough time and uncontrolled inflation has made their life vulnerable. Rarely witnessed in Indian politics the present Agriculture Minister went to public justifying the price rise and very innocently argued for his helplessness. The minister is supposed to generate confidence amongst the public and should make best efforts to provide relief. Sharad Pawar is doing the opposite, and even advised the reduction the consumption of sugar as it is harmful to health. Excessive sugar intake is harmful to health but what about the necessary intake, even that is not permissible.

Shashi Tharoor, the ex-minister of state for External Affairs also had a habit of starting public discourse. Devoid of political understanding and completely alien to India social and political structure Shashi Tharoor was quick to invite controversy around himself, but his real fall started after the flamboyant minister tried to influence IPL (Indian Premier League) for benefiting his friend. The Minister by using (abusing) his powerful office ensured that his friend could get share in one of the IPL’s team.

After resigning from his post, Tharoor gave a long speech in Parliament but what remains unexplained is how his friend got the share in a team. Integrity of Tharoor came under scanner and it was good decision on the part of UPA that Tharoor was discharged from the Ministry. The IPL controversy does not end with the ouster of Tharoor but the role of another Minister Praful Patel is very objectionable.

Daughter of Patel grossly misused the authority of her father and converted the passenger flight to a charter plane for ferrying one of the IPL team with which, she is associated. This misuse was reported all over in national media but the incumbent Minister of Civil Aviation did not take the moral and political responsibility.

Another scam which rocked both Parliament and the country is the 2 G spectrum scam. The name of communication Minister A.Raja cropped up scam and not only this, involvement of corporate houses was exposed. The corporate houses are not only influencing decisions of government and ministries but they are now even putting their weight as who is going to get the respective ministry. The name of another woman Niira Radia appeared in this scam and it came to light how two big corporate houses lobbied for communication ministry. Shamelessly, the government is defending Raja, although there are no reasons for doing the same as it would be better it the Minister follows the footsteps of Tharoor.

In short, UPA- II tenure is full of scams, inflation, and ministers indulging in war of words with fewer productive activities to its report card. Unfortunately, the opposition also failed on several counts to mobilise the public on these issues except for some protest on price rise.

What does it mean "Hindutva"?

The term "Hindutva" is derived from the two terms 'Hindu Tattva", which literally mean "Hindu Principles". Now the question is, what are Hindu Principles and what comprises the "Hindutva" Outlook?

To answer this question we would have to begin with the history of the Hindus. The history of the Hindus is the history of a civilization which has developed in its natural state, without interruption, since antiquity. Its age is dated to be between five and nine thousand years. Hence Hindu History is a prototype of how human civilization would have looked, if civilization all across the globe had been allowed to develop in its natural state. This is the relevance for us to study Hindu Civilization, Hindu History and Hindu Culture.

The evolution of Hindu Civilization can be considered to be natural and continuing as there is no last messiah in the Hindu world view. In fact this is what distinguishes Hindu Civilization from the rest. And this is why Hinduism is called a Living Idea, guided by the sum total of human wisdom that is not considered to be embodied in one person, or one book, or one period of human history. Hence the term "Living". Hindutva is the articulation of this idea of continuity of freedom of thought from which emerge the multifarious Hindu Principles.

Two instances of Hindu Principles that symbolize the outcome of freedom of thought are the pronouncements made not today, but four thousand years back by unnamed rishis (Hindu ascetics) that, "This world is one family" (Vasudaiva Kutumbakam) and that "The Universal Reality is the same, but different people can call it by different names" (Ekam Sat Viprah Bahuda Vadanti). In these two proclamations made in ancient Hindu India, we see the seeds of globalism and freedom of thought, four thousand years before the world was to become the global village of today.

Thus in its true essence, Hindutva is a stridently assertive rational-humanist line of reasoning. And it is this essence of Hindutva that we have kept in mind, while developing this website. At the level of practice, the Hindutva outlook boils down to upholding righteousness (Sat-guna) and fighting ignoble attitudes (Dur-guna). Taking poetic license, we can describe the practitioners of this outlook as "Heenam Naashaayati iti Hinduhu" (Those who uphold righteousness and fight ignobleness are Hindus).

Thus, far from being a narrow nationalistic doctrine, Hindutva is in its true essence, 'a timeless and universal compilation of human wisdom'. Hence it is also called "Sanatana" which means, something that is "forever continuing."

How Hinduism different from other religions?

The British say God Save the King.

The Americans say God Bless America.

The Indians say Om Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu.

Does this tell you something?

“God Save the King/Queen” is the National Anthem of the United Kingdom. It is also one of the two national anthems of New Zealand, and the royal anthem of Canada, and other Commonwealth Realms, as well as the anthem of the British Royal Family.

Bless America” is an American patriotic song originally written by Irving Berlin in 1918 and revised by him in 1938. It is sometimes considered an unofficial national anthem of the United States.[1] It also served as the inspiration for another anthem, Woodie Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land”, which was written in response to it.

“Om Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu” (Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu) means “May Eternal Peace & Goodwill Prevail in the Whole World”
Also,
Om sarveshaam swastir bhavatu
Sarveshaam shantir bhavatu
Sarveshaam poornam bhavatu
Sarveshaam mangalam bhavatu
Sarve bhavantu sukhinah
Sarve santu niraamayaah
Sarve bhadraani pashyantu
Maakaschit duhkha bhaag bhavet

Meaning:

Auspiciousness (swasti) be unto all;
Peace (shanti) be unto all;
Fullness (poornam) be unto all;
prosperity (mangalam) be unto all.
May all be happy! (sukhinah)
May all be free from disabilities! (niraamayaah)
May all look (pashyantu)to the good of others!
May none suffer from sorrow! (duhkha)

Hindus join together in Erode to protect temple from demolition

WHEN MEMORIES OF AMARNATH AND SETU POPPED UP IN A TAMILNADU TOWN

Erode (Tamilnadu) May 31– The Friday (May 28) Bandh at Erode was unique. It was “total and without any untoward instance”, as the media reported the next day. The Bandh call was given by no political party or organisation, but by a struggle group ‘Movement for Retrieving Periya Mariyamman Temple Land’, comprising devotees of a Kali temple centrally located in the bustling commercial town. The town being the birth place of E V Ramaswamy Naicker who ran a bitter anti god campaign for over 6 decades across the state, wore a deserted look that day, indicating the total solidarity of the town for devotees’ demands. Over 120 outfits of traders and workers as well as Hindu organisations expressed solidarity for the bandh call. It was natural that even the tea shops downed their shutters as did the multi crore mega malls -- all to augment the cause of a Hindu temple.

The demands of the Movement include retrieval of more than 15 acres of temple land that Church of South India (CSI) possesses illegally. During British Raj it was snatched from Hindus and handed over to London Mission, that became CSI later on. The temple itself was relocated to a roadside to accommodate CSI school and hospital. As if to add insult to injury, the highways department last week started work on a flyover running above the centuries old temple. The devotees were “enraged” as a media report goes. They were afraid of the wrath of Mariyamman and arranged for the mahabhishekham for the Divine mother on the Bandh day. Over 1,500 woman devotees brought pots of milk as well as water in a procession that culminated in a public meeting in front of the temple. Speaking on the occasion, Shri. E.R.M Chandrasekar, convener of the Movement and saha jilla sanghchalak of RSS, asked the government to see reason and stop forthwith the flyover project. Eventually it stopped - with the men and machines at work absenting themselves the next day onwards. “It reminds me of the fate of the Setu samudram project”, quipped a trader. “Rather the Amarnath Temple Movement”, said another.

The expert opinion is that instead of the Rs 19 crore flyover, the government would do well to ask the CSI to vacate the temple land that would pave the way for an unfinished 80 feet road to be completed at the cost of a few lakhs to ease traffic snarls. Moreover, the flyover (via the temple) was not at all needed there, but elsewhere in the town - near the Govt Hospital junction - because the traffic is much heavier there.

The attitude of Indians

I wish to share this article as it just reflects the attitude of Indians. But one thing I want to say is, not all people can afford to buy things at richer standard. At least, we can give priority to hygiene locations.

Author:Renegade Division

I could not give this article a better heading, but I wanna promise one thing to the reader this will blow off all your ideas about “human nature” being responsible for the corruption and filthiness in India.

Why is India Corrupt?

Why corruption exists? In a simple line I can summarize the whole answer and that is “corruption exists because it makes people’s lives better”.

Let me come directly to the example part. Lets say in Indian law society the government passes a law that all the restaurants must use gold utensils(silverware made of actual gold). The plates in which they serve must be made from Gold, the government may have whatever reasons they think its important for the people to use gold utensils. For the sake of example just presume the government made this law for what they think is good for the people.

What do you think would be the consequences of this law? Would restaurants in India will really start following such a law? Lets take the honest and the dishonest restaurants one by one.

Honest Restaurants

A few restaurants who would be honest enough to comply with these regulations would go out and buy golden utensils, but to cover the costs of those utensils they will have to raise the prices of their utensils. So a regular tea which costs about Rs 5/- in any restaurant in India would cost about Rs 500/- in a golden cup and saucer. It cannot be reasonably expected that people in India would start paying Rs 500/- for a cup of tea. The overall consequences of this would be that the restaurant will soon go out of business.

Dishonest Restaurants

Now lets take a look at the dishonest restaurants which did not bother to comply with the regulation. Whenever the inspectors from the food department come around they bribed then to ignore the violation of the law. Since they did not bother to buy gold utensils, the prices of food in their restaurant are marginally higher(the bribe increased the costs). So a cup of regular tea costs about Rs 6/- in such a restaurant. It is quite reasonable to expect that people will be more than willing to drink coffee and eat from this restaurant than from the honest restaurant(where the food costs 100 times than this one).

Consequences

Overall any restaurant which tries to be honest will be wiped out of the business. Whose fault can we say this would be? Clearly the government’s fault which passed such a law. In fact it would be stupid to assume that ANY restaurant would be complying with this law. Now lets take a look at a more real world scenario.

In real world the government does not pass a law about using gold plates, rather it passes a law about using only plastic plates in the restaurants for hygienic purposes. Using plastic plates could be more hygienic but its also more expensive, on the other hand using washed(often poorly) china or metallic plates might be unhygienic but it would also be more cheap.

Whenever food department inspection happens, most of the restaurants prefer to bribe the inspector to overlook at all the violations because the lower costs and continual business tells the restaurant owners one thing and that is “People WANT cheaper unhygienic food, over expensive hygienic food”.

In fact the golden plates law is so stupid that even food inspectors will not bother to ask anyone to follow this regulation.

Democracy can go to hell, people WANT cheap food, thereby implying that they prefer reused dishes over clean disposable dishes, so they are ordering the restaurant owner to somehow keep the prices low. Therefore indirectly people WANT the food department inspectors to be bribed.

In richer societies like America people can afford to follow all the stupid rules and regulations and still pay the higher food costs, but expecting those kinds of standards in India would be really stupid.

Why is India so dirty?

Again just like the previous issue, its not because “Indian people are just too dirty and they have no regard for cleanliness”, India is so dirty because people prefer to live in that dirty environment than to clean things up and increase the cost of everything around them.

Lets again take an example. Lets say there are two convenience stores(Kirana shops) one is kept very clean, everything very tidy, and its located in a clean well maintained shopping complex. The other one is located in the middle of the regular flea market, its very messy, dirty and its surroundings are really unkept.

The tidy convenience store

The store which is located on a very well maintained shopping complex and is kept very tidy. It has a guard standing on its door, it uses electronic bar code system to keep track of prices and products. The store is always staffed with enough people, and it has achieved all that by spending money on the maintenance of the shop. This causes the store owner to increase the prices of his store products. 1 Kg of Sugar might be available for Rs 15/- on this shop.

The untidy, unkept convenience store

The other store which is located in the middle of a crowded flea market does not spend any money on the maintenance of the shop. This enables him to keep the prices of his store low. 1 Kg of Sugar is available for Rs 10/- in this shop. Where do you think the customers in India will go to?

Consequences

Its clear that the tidy store will either go out of business or will do very little business because people will prefer to go to the messier dirty shop, because they prefer to buy the Sugar at Rs 10/-. This thing tells all the convenience store owners ONE thing, that Indian consumers don’t care for cleanliness as much as they care for cheaper prices. So the market rewards people to reduce their maintenance costs and reduce the core prices of the services and commodities.

Any public service place in India would be only as clean as its owner personally would like to do the effort of keeping it clean. A small shop would be kept much more clean because only one guy operates in it. A larger shop can cut its costs by reducing the cost on the maintenance.

Conclusion

Only one thing can be concluded from both these reasonings, and that is you can never beat the market. Its the market which will not follow the stupid laws because a politician may not be having the welfare of everyone in his mind, but the Market always wants to serve the maximum number of people in the best possible way.

People in India are not corrupt, they pay through their way because it enables their live through the mess of the government hinderance created at every step. They are no more or less corrupt than Americans in nature. Its just that in America people can afford to follow all the rules and regulations(though the sheet is being stretched too far with the latest assaults on free market and all the scapegoating of the free market and lack of regulations).

Similarly, people in India are not dirty, or unclean, they prefer untidiness over cleanliness because it enables them to buy more products and make their lives better. If Americans tomorrow stop paying the huge maintenance costs of the big departmental stores they will be able to save more money, thereby invest more money and thereby make themselves richer.
