Do Indians lack civic sense?

I have copy pasted one or two articles with regard to "Civic sense" and Indian attitude. Most of us do not pay any attention to such important issues. In fact, this "Civic sense" should be taught in the schools right from tender age. But, in our schools, the teaching system is totally different. All they need is promoting the students from one level to another with merit marks - making them all a "Book worm"

I think this article will help us at least to understand where actually we fail to keep "Civic sense" in our day to day lives. Please read on and comment.

This article is about the lack of civic sense in our citizens. Many people don't bother to help others, don't offer seats to women in journeys,spit in public places and still feel proud to be Indians.

In India we find huge population of various races,regions, religions and castes. We feel proud to say that we are Indians and this pride is very much exhibited when we go to Foreign countries we exhibit discipline and show our submissiveness to law. But in reality in India many people dont have civic sense.Our violations are lack of civic sense is shown here. Please try to avoid these and become a responsible citizen.

1.Drinking on the roads and causing inconvenience to the public.
2.Not offering seats to women, children and old age people.
3.Smoking in public.
4.Urinating in public places.
5.Not helping others in trivial matters like helping a old woman with luggage trying to cross the road etc.
6.Not chasing any offender involved in accident, theft etc.
7. Not following traffic rules.
8. Joining the mobs in commotion and causing damage to public and private properties.
9. Writing indecent things on walls etc in public places.
10. Not following queue.
11.Trying to overcome others in illegal manners.
12.Criticizing the Govt. but not doing the duty of a responsible citizen like giving evidence in court of law.....
13.Talking personal matters loudly over phone in public.
14. And many more things not mentioned here.

DEAR FRIENDS PLEASE THINK AND TRY TO AVOID THESE. BEHAVE LIKE A RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN.
